This review is beating a dead horse as this restaurant has been closed for years. Except for the fact that it leaves a deserted building in the center of Bernardsville, it's no loss. The prices were exceptional, but the food was not. Service was absolutely...More

Terrible service, food was ok and over priced. Will not return to this place for dinner or any other meal when it reopens. It is currently closed.

This reataurant closed it's doors in March of 2012. No one knows what happened, but we had a party scheduled for a special chef's wine dinner in April 2012. Never happened!

Great food but no wonder it's closed. Way too expensive for very small portions. Delicious though. It's a shame when people get greedy regarding pricing. A mid-range price selection would draw bigger crowds. When will restaurants around here get this? Oh and I'm also tired...More

Up-scale restaurant with nice bar and attractive, high-ceiling, stone-walled dining room. Varied menu with good food, service and wine list.

Visited the Equus Tavern with my wife and two sons on the occasion of my son's birthday. Didn't know what to expect from a restaurant with a "Tavern" designation but it turned out to be an upscale restaurant with a tavern attached. It was constructed...More

A group of us (10) went there Sunday for Brunch. I couldn't believe how slow the service was. It took them a good 20 minutes to give us the menu, I had to ask for them. Ordering the food took forever, we had a couple...More

Equus is a local restaurant and we were so pleased to see the quality of the extensive renovation completed a few years ago that brought lovely character to the old building and our town center. Sadly, our pleasure ends there. We've been to the restaurant...More
