I love this restaurant. It's in a beautiful 19th century Victorian house in the heart of Beach Haven's historical district. The staff are warm and knowledgeable. Last Friday 5 of us wanted to try their "Tasting Menu". It was wonderful and shows just what their chef can do. It does offer choices so no need to worry about any food dislikes.... More

The decor here was amazing. We stayed for a wedding in town so the local was superb. The breakfast was okay but smaller portions than my husband and I would prefer. The bed was very comfortable and quite, although the room we stayed in was very small.

My husband chose this place and it truly lived up to its photos on the website. A fairy tale setting with a gourmet restaurant that gives you a corkscrew and a mason jar of it's delicious granola in a gift bag! The room was very quaint, the food was delicious, the place is very convenient to the beach and the... More

Over 35 years of going to LBI I've eaten in dozens of different restaurants. The Gables is the best. Wonderful food. Beautiful setting. Can't wait to go back.

We love LBI, and to keep summer alive we decided to go over the Sept. 10 weekend. Every hotel was booked so we figured we would try a B&B. The Gables had a room. The Victoria and Albert Room. The Gables is a beautiful place. We eat dinner there every year to celebrate our anniversary. It is a bucolic setting... More

Beautiful Victorian venue. Candles, sparkling chandeliers, private dining nooks as well as romantically lit terrace and front porch with hanging summer plants. Accomplished and accommodating piano player. Service attentive but not intrusive. Menue eclective. Our favorites this night were eggplant popette appetizer and bone in filet mignon roasted perfectly. Elegant but not pretencious. Will definitely go back.

We've been to The Gables for dinner twice in the last month. The good - atmosphere and service. Food is average and very expensive for what you get. The scallops, at $46, are much better than the duck. If their food equaled their atmosphere and service, this would be a great restaurant despite the high prices.

We have been going to LBI for many years and have always wanted to try this restaurant. We went to dinner with another couple. We knew it was an expensive restaurant so we had high expectations. We are foodies and often go to NYC for dinner. For a "high end" restaurant is one of the biggest disappointments we have ever... More

My husband and I had a one-night getaway and came here via a friend's recommendation. We were so happy! Our room was cozy and beautifully appointed. Our dinner was delicious and the ambiance was warm and romantic. We were thrilled to have Steve Kramer playing great jazz standards and anything you requested. We hadn't heard him in years, and he's... More

Regardless of whether you choose our exciting, new Grazing Menu, or dine a la carte, candlelight dining at The Gables Inn and Restaurant makes any day a special occasion.

Meals are brilliantly orchestrated by our Chef, Richard Diemer. Every dish manages to wow, comfort and excite. Presentations are lovely without being pretentious.

Menus change daily; culinary inspiration is drawn from whatever impeccably fresh ingredients are at their best that morning. Produce from local New Jersey farms, micro greens from Blue Moon Acres, Buckingham, Pennsylvania, Niman Ranch organic meats, D’Artagnan organic poultry, fresh diver scallops from Long Beach Island’s surrounding waters, Prince Edward Island mussels, and lobsters exclusively from Maine, take pride of place. We also take pleasure in presenting a selection of award-winning wines from NJ’s Bellview Winery to enhance your enjoyment.
