We had an excellent meal - food was great as was the service. We have been going to the Grain House for years and always have a wonderful time.

The Grain House is a lovely, cozy place with a lot of "olde" charm. I have been here for a wedding rehearsal dinner, a business lunch, a Christmas buffet, and many times for girls night out. The prices are steep but the service is excellent. If the appetizer menu does not suit you, ask what else is available. They will... More

This place is steeped in history. From the ages old hardwood floor to the different levels throughout the bar and restaurant the Grain House does not disappoint. The wait staff is very gracious and accommodating. The selection of cocktails is good. Will have to check out the dinner options when I return next week.

The Grain House has had its ups and downs over the years. For a while this restaurant was doing better and the food was good. Had lunch there recently with friends. Most of us were very unhappy with the quality of our meals. My "special" had corned beef that was half fat, and I actually had to get up in... More

Greetings HomeNJ, So sorry to hear that you were anything but happy with your recent lunch. It sounds like you must have been with us around St. Patrick's day and had one of the related specials. I have forwarded the Chef your review and have let the Manager know that you found the service was lacking. We're happy to hear... More

Old historic building. Charming rooms. Food buffet was expansive, tasty, well presented & a wide choice. 2 carving stations, fresh french toast and omelet station, in addition to a lot of hot buffet items and cold salads. Wait staff was attentive with fresh coffee and clearing plates. Desert bar was typical (not as good as the food)

My mistake. I needed a quick dinner and thought that I'd give The Grain House a second try. Again, I ate at a table near the bar, looking for a more casual atmosphere. The Onion Soup, $8.00, was a tasteless offering. A small crock filled with an oversized chunk of brown bread, about 8 spoonfuls of brown liquid and covered... More

Hello Heather, We're certainly glad to hear that you felt our support staff did a good job. I'm sorry that you didn't feel that the dinner was a good value. We do normally get good compliments on our French Onion soup and it has been a fixture on our menu for many years as a result. I have nonetheless made... More

Went here for Sunday brunch. Upon entering from the empty parking lot, they asked about reservations and I said I didn't have one. The host looked over at the empty bar area and said that they could work me in. How nice of them. While I ate, there were only a few other tables that came in. The couple that... More

Have an annual dinner for 35 at the Grain House every year – always amazed by the setup, food, service. The staff is very attentive, can put together a room and keep 35 people happy – amazing. I was there today for a baby shower. Itis a lovely place with very good food and service. I would like to go back one Sunday for a regular meal and not for a party. What's so nice it's very close to Route 287 so very easy to get too. I would recommend the Grain House.
