We enjoyes a lovely Thanksgiving buffet. We were seated immediately and promptly serviced during the entire meal time. The hotel was decorated for the season.

We decided that we wanted to visit a historic White Mountain Inn for our Thanksgiving Dinner this year. The Highfields Restaurant located in the historic Eagle Mountain House is the place that we picked. The buffet menu looked good and the price was good; I have driven by the Inn several times always saying I needed to visit some time... More

This is probably the 4th time I have dined at Highfield's Restaurant inside of the Eagle Mountain House. The food is awesome! It is not an ordinary "cheap" buffet but high quality food compared to what you normally get at a buffet. The only complaint I can even say is the roasted carrots were a bit too hard. But who... Fine dining in a early 1900's setting. Good food and friendly service. Inn and golf course are an added plus.

If you love historic buildings, you will love staying here. So quaint. Like stepping back in time. Antique furniture in the hotel as well as the rooms. Huge 2 story porch you can enjoy drinks from the bar on and beautiful scenery. If you're into modern, don't stay here but if you appreciate buildings with character and charm, you can't... More

I've been to Mackinac Island Grand Hotel and thought it was one of a kind but I discovered it's twin here at the Eagle Mountain. Classic Hotel, cute rooms with nice views, large hallways and what I loved most was the vintage elevator. The restaurant known as Highfields served a 5 star meal, what made it even better was the... Excellent menu. Highly recommend their portebello mushroom burger served with french fries and Napoleon (flaky pastries with citrus sauce and berries)

We have stayed here several times. Visiting relatives and playing golf. The hotel is old and a little worn, but the views are outstanding, and the Highfield restaurant is wonderful.

We had dinner and l lunch on the veranda. There was something of a wait for a table as it is first come first serve and it seemed a bit understaffed. But it was worth the wait. The food is very good--try the lettuce wedge salad with a unique dressing--and the view of the mountains spectacular.
