We have visited Robie's under at least 3 different managements, and each has had its pluses, but the newest renovation, and introduction of Roots Cafe, has been the best yet! Our realtor first brought us here over 5 years ago when we were house hunting for a move from western New York, and we bought just one town away. We... More

The above "horrible and lack luster" comment cannot, in all honesty be written about our cafe. I believe this person has the wrong location in Hoosett. Our food is delicious and our staff is excellent. My husband ALWAYS wears gloves, like two whole boxes a day. He is always in the kitchen where you cannot see him regardless. Joshua is... More

We stopped by here based on other reviews and were not disappointed! I had a salad and my husband and son had sandwiches all were delicious.... the French fries were my favorite so crunchy and tasty. What a great atmosphere and such nice staff.

we went to their February farm to table dinner and it was outstanding. It was a fixed menu, which is fun in and of itself, and each course was great. The portions were not skimpy and the presentation was nice. Friendly staff and friendly guests made this a fun evening out.

A charming country store/cafe. Friendly staff and yummy sandwiches. Fist time here as we were passing through. I had heard some time back that this was a great place for sandwiches from a resident and he was spot on. Stop in soon!! Great local items for sale too.

The food and menu choices here are excellent. The bonus is they use locally grown food which adds to the price a little but the taste and atmosphere are worth it!

We went on a weekend to grab a bite. We ended up staying. The menu was surprisingly extensive. You order at the counter/register and they will bring it to where you're sitting. There is self serve coffee bar. This place will thrill you for a great menu or for the local and historical flavor. Either way, when you come here... More

Robie's Country Store has long been the premier, must-visit stop along the campaign trail during Presidential and local elections in New Hampshire. Listed in the NH and National Register of Historic Places, Robie's has served locals, river traffic, mill workers, and rail traffic since it opened in 1822. The building, from its well-worn floorboards to the sunbaked front porch and the picnic tables looking over the Merrimack River, gives evidence of over a century of service as a local New England market. Robie's has served as a campaign stop for both Mitt Romney and his father George Romney, and Jimmy Carter walked through these doors as a relatively unknown candidate...as have many politicians dating back to the 1950s. Evidence of the political history adorns the walls. Moving into modern times, Robie's welcomes the movement to "buy local" and serves as a café and market where you'll find the best NH locally-made goods alongside a menu featuring the freshest locally-grown food available...and famous pancakes! Amber and Josh Enright bring their full menu from Roots Catering to Robie's. "This is really how you had to run a store before mass production. Your local market sold locally-made goods." said Amber. The café at Robie's features an eclectic take on many classic New England foods and also includes a rotation of fresh salads, delicious soups, and hot/cold sandwiches. The market taps into small-batch, homemade items made locally throughout NH and New England to offer a high-quality selection across candies, gifts, stationery, cooking supplies, cheeses, oils, and numerous other items. Open for breakfast and lunch with take-out available. Featuring Java Tree coffee and full espresso bar, Nashoba Brook slow rise bread, fresh baked scones, quiches, frittatas, and much, much more.
