This restaurant offers a great variety of foods with Seafood as their specialty. A very warm and inviting atmosphere that is quite cozy with fireplaces in the dining areas. The quality and the quantity of food was very very good and the service was quite good as well. They have plenty of seating available however you may have a little... More

Our group ate at their Easter buffet. Their booking was a mess and did not allow time to cycle through seatings, leaving people packed in hallways and outdoors waiting past their reservation time. Once seated our server was very good. The area we were in had tchotchkes and such covering every inch of the walls. They were all dusty and... More

Had a wonderful lunch, with friends today at The Old Salt. Made a reservation, and a request to have a quiet table, so that we would be able to chat and 'catch up' with one another! Wonderfully accommodating!! Food was very good! BLT on ciabatta with house made chips, turkey club with fries and roast beef sandwich with house chips,... More

While staying in Hampton Beach, made reservations at this restaurant on a recommendation from my wife's co-worker. They were right! Our meal was excellent, my wife had one of the nightly specials which was sautéed shrimp with spinach andcavatelli pasta and an asiago sauce which she said was outstanding. Homemade bread pudding for dessert was delicious! Although it was off... More

I was dying for a good burger and was in the area so decided to stop in since I had heard good reports. It was okay. I've had better burgers. Maybe worth a visit to judge for yourself. I am still on the hunt. My friend had a burger as well and felt the same. Staff very friendly, and it... More

The Old Salt makes you feel like you are eating in an old inn. The décor is all wood with a big fireplace and heavy tables. The food is well prepared and the service is good. If you are looking for just a good basic restaurant the Old Salt is it

Previously spoke to Chef Robert about making the beer battered haddock again for us that was award winning delicious! He said that we could order it anytime even if it was not on special. We were thrilled to hear about this. Tonight, during restaurant week ( 04/11/17). We called in to order two orders for takeout of beer battered haddock... More
