Don't judge the location! This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Great home cooked food, wonderful staff and very affordable. Something on the menu for all. You can even have a beer with breakfast you choose (5 o'clock somewhere). Recommend Big Ed's breakfast sandwich with potatoes...yum! Will dine again next time in Reno.

Big Ed's is not in the best location in town (unless you are hitting the "club" across the street later), but the food is worth a stop in the neighborhood. We had been to Big Ed's ages ago for breakfast, and out of the blue decided to try it for dinner...so glad we did. My wife and I both had... More

Great coffee, good variety of omelettes, Bloody Mary's fantastic. Won't find fruit bowls or oatmeal here but the Chili Cheese Omelettes & Burgers at lunch-draw locals back again and again!!

On a Saturday my wife and I had shopping and errands to run all day...So why not a big breakfast here to start the day off! I had a denver omlette packed with cheese, onions and peppers. She had a bacon and eggs plate (three eggs and four pieces of bacon!) Our entrees came with home fries and toast! No... More

I've heard stories about this place for years. Finally made it there for lunch. They serve breakfast all day. I had chicken fried steak. It was wonderful. Companions had french dip and steak sandwich both were very happy. Rustic decor, very small space. Bar also.

because this place is so hidden I strongly doubt JmPOW's review especially after 9 months.. sure where he/she was??!.. never had one breakfast item that wasn't HUGE or filled with all good things. My coffee cup never goes unfilled and the omelets will blow you away. a do not miss gem..

We asked Siri about breakfast places near us and this place came up! We couldn't hardly tell there was a restaurant there! Friendly staff, delicious food and great price! Will keep this one at the forefront for next trip to Reno!

Do not believe all the reviews about best biscuits and gravy... Just shows how limited other peoples taste buds are... Watery gravy... Breakfast burrito was just ground hamburger thrown in a tortilla with salsa on the side... Not worth the visit... The definition of B-U-S-T

We were in Reno for the AKC Agility Nationals. Just took a chance on Big Ed's from the reviews and were not disappointed. Apparently they are known more for breakfast and lunch as I think they are only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. When we arrived at about 6:00 p.m., I was a little concerned that there was hardly... More
