After reading reviews, we knew what to expect and the restaurant was pretty much as previously described. We went there around 1 a.m. for some end of the night food. Th set up is like a cafeteria food line. You get in line and if you want something that is available on the cafeteria line, you can get it served... More

Fast Chinese food had very little flavor. Was fast and inexpensive and while it didn't taste bad, it just was kind of bland.

Lanai offers American and Chinese dishes, and 99 cent shrimp cocktails It is not fancy, but the entrees and sandwiches are large, fresh and reasonably priced.

the cheap shrimp cocktail offered at Lanai Express inside the Fremont Casino is very small and covered in somewhat spicey cocktail sauce. the bottom of the cup is a celery based sauce. not a bad deal if you like tiny shrimp

Not too good, either food or value. "Deuces" eggs and potatoes not cooked very well. Sausage patties loaded with filler. By comparison, coffee outrageous in price, with no refills! Imagine a breakfast for $3.99 and non refillable coffee for $1.99. Definitely not a good deal for cafeteria food.

The title pretty much says it all. They have what seems to be a great breakfast special, too. Inexpensive eats in a town where the genuine bargains have become scarce. Food is average-low average.

I had the 2 entrée plate for $7, chow mien with beef broccoli and chicken teriyaki. Was pretty good, big portion, enough for 2 meals. The next day, I had the beef teriyaki bowl, on rice for $6. Lots of meat but there was too much sauce on the rice. I was drinking water all day after that. I got... More

I've been here a few times, usually early in the morning to get breakfast before I head into work. This place shuts down at 7am so I get here early enough. What drew my attention to this place was that they serve Portuguese sausage eggs and rice, very popular combo for a local Hawaiian from the islands. The staff is... More

A small place in Fremont (like most other restaurants here) that offers cheap but decent food. The service can feel slow at times but the quantity of food makes up for it - the portions are big and you can have a stomach-full food if you are on budget.

Price was ok but food was awful. Dried out rice, overcooked hard sweet and sour chicken, shrimp cocktail was over spiced, had pieces of horseradish in it.
