Husband and I have been looking for a nice frozen custard shop at almost every place we travel, most are disappointing tourist traps, or chains that cut corners and have no idea how a good frozen custard should taste. We visited Neilsen's with finger crossed, not expecting much - we were blown away....this custard was absolutely awesome. I tried the... More

I seriously do not understand how this place is not the #1 dessert place in Henderson. Get the concrete, add from the numerous treats you can put into your concrete and sit back and savor the delicious frozen snack. The decor is pretty cool also.

I had never heard of frozen custard growing up...my family always opted for the more health conscious frozen yogurt route. Most days, that is still what I am likely to choose. BUT...when nothing but the delicious taste of a real, creamy frozen treat will do, this is where I go. I am an ice cream connoisseur. I have tried ice... More

The NEGATIVE: They didn't have flavors I wanted. So I ended up with a pint of the Oreo. I think I've found more bits in a Dairy Queen's Blizzard. POSITIVE: The ice cream was smooth and creamy. It was good. I can't really compare it to other ice cream places as I haven't been to them in a while. But... More

I love ice cream so I was skeptical the first time I had frozen custard. Let me tell you it is soooo much more creamier than ice cream you don't know what you've been missing!!! It's like eating frozen cream!! It's soooo good. I usually go to the one on Eastern Ave, but both locations are good! Prices are reasonable... More

After devouring a pizza at the restaurant next door, we stumbles upon Nielsen's. The choices for concrete mixers, as their blended treats are called, were amazing! The flavor of the day was caramel cashew. I resisted and ordered a chocolate frozen custard cone. It was heavenly. The ice cream cone was generously filled and the texture of the frozen custard... Delicious frozen custard ice cream at reasonable prices. I had the Chocolate kit-kat concrete shake which was absolutely wonderful. The ice cream was very smooth and chocolatey. This is worth the drive from the Strip!

I first had Nielsens frozen custard in Utah and loved it. I was thrilled to find one in the Las Vegas area. They have chocolate and vanilla everyday and then a flavor of the day. The have a thing called a concrete where they take a basic flavor and mix it with things like nuts, or candy or coconut, all... More

We had time to play pinball or get frozen custard... Custard wins again! Was there any doubt? This place rocks! Intimate and situated right next to Grimaldi's pizzeria. What a great way to top off your pizza. Great frozen custard with good options for toppings and frozen creations. Good service too. You can sample any custard you want before you... More
