We had booked, well in advance, for a family get-together on 28 December. unfortunately it appeared that both the chef and the boss had decided to take a post-Christmas holiday. The service was slow and disinterested and heaven knows who was in the kitchen. Most...More

We've eaten at The Red Lion several times and have always been very impressed....until now. Calling in for lunch we ordered our drinks, including a half bottle of champagne but they had run out of this. Annoying, but not really a great problem - that...More

Handily located just off the A37 between Yeovil and Bristol. Dropped in for a late Sunday lunch and was impressed by the warmth of welcome and the speedy service. Roast beef with trimmings was enjoyable and reasonably priced. Looked a very well run pub.
