I had never been to this restaurant before so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, and the staff were attentive, but not to annoying extent. Our food came quickly and was delicious with more interesting combinations of flavours which I enjoyed. For the price paid, the portions were large, I was stuffed leaving. Overall, a great experience, I will be coming back.

First timers in Veda following recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed. The early bird menu at €19 for 2 courses (5-7pm) was excellent value and offered plenty of choice, with chicken, lamb, fish and vegetarian options.

Frequent visits have always left us wanting more. Delicious fresh Indian food. Generous portions. Efficient time management means food is ready to collect exactly when they say it will be. Highly recommend.

We have been to Veda many times and the service and food has always been second to none. However we ordered take out for New Year’s Eve more than 24 hours in advance for delivery at 8.45-9pm. Then called on New Year’s Eve to confirm and was asked would 8.30-8-45pm be ok. We agreed this time but our order arrived at 7.50pm, before requested and also before our guests. We called Veda after the delivery and left a message to say we were disappointed but put the food in the oven to keep warm. I unfortunately had ordered a prawn dish which in hindsight should have been eaten straight away but wasn’t which made me very sick. I sent Veda an email the following day explaining what had happened and how disappointed we were and am still waiting on a response. Overall very disappointing from what is normally a very good restaurant.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review,with regard to your disappointing experience,our manager did act upon your mail and on New Years Day rang you personally to discuss the matter but could not reach you and left a voicemail,so an attempt was made to resolve the incident.
Unfortunately with it being one of the busiest nights of the year in the restaurant and with deliveries,we would endeavor to accommodate your request with a time slot even with it been made in advance,our drivers would have had numerous deliveries and drops over the course of the evening and depending on your locality,the driver would have delivered accordingly,rather than your food arriving late..
It’s unusual to have a complaint with the food arriving early..
In hindsight a collection would have been preferential for you that evening,as you required an exact time with a window of fifteen minutes..
It was not unfortunate that you ordered a prawn dish,it was not necessary for you to consume straight away and keeping it warm would have had no bearing on you being ill,in fact you would have had up to four hours to consume your food by the fsa guidelines..
As a customer of the restaurant,if you wish to contact us directly we would be more than happy to offer a gesture of goodwill,and to encourage your continued patronage..

We were waiting 2 hours, even the person in the restaurant said the food was ready and they just said they would call us, and never happened. Even we tried to ring them to cancel and try to catch another option, they didn't want to answer the phone.
After 10-15 min (AFTER 2 HOURS) they sent COLD food
We are so disappointed and we were hungry!!
Bad delivery service.

We booked the delivery at 18:00 for 19:00. It’s now almost 21:00 and they still haven’t delivered. We called twice and were told ‘15 more minutes’ until the manager finally realized that our order was not even in the pipeline despite the phone calls. It’s a shame to see how a reputable restaurant could lower its standards to this level. When the current restrictions are lifted and this restaurant maybe re-opens, they will have for sure lost me as a client. And reading the reviews below, I don’t think I’m the only one.

We travel and work out our stays around a visit to Veda. The food is so fresh and full of flavour. This is real Indian food which the spices have been truely blended together. The chefs are top of the game.
Please dont forget the welcome lassi.

My starter was a work of art and tasted good too. I had the lamb special and was assured it was mild. However, it had quite a bit of chili so if you can't do chili stick to the milder options. I was surprised to find some bone in it, but perhaps that added to the flavour. As there were 4 of us it took us a wee while to decide what to order, at least 4 attempts were made to take our order, in quick succession, when we had asked for a few minutes to consider. Rice/Naan are not included in the price of the main courses, so our average price for main + rice or naan was €25. My friends all loved their dishes. I would have liked the Naan bread cooked until it was a little more crispy.

No Coldplay here ...Veda is hot , our local Indian restaurant never ceases to come up trumps whether dining in or takeout.
You’re into an adventure of a lifetime in Paradise.
Don’t panic , weekends will come around for our next visit !

A trip to Veda is an always must when we are in the area.
This time we brought other family members who hadnt been before. They can now see why we love this place and they will be back.
The food is always tasty, very well presented and authentic. No over the top food colouring you get at many other Indian Restaurants.
If you love Indian food then its a must visit.

Orderred 2 meals for takeout and was told 45 minutes. Arrived and waited another 40 minutes in store. Other customers also complained about severely delayed orders. Food was good, but not worth 1.5 hours waiting.

What can I say? top notch restaurant quality food! I am not one to give compliments easily when it comes to food, especially Indian food, however on this occasion I feel its warranted.
I recently ordered food twice from this establishment, and ordered the same thing both times Chicken Methi, sag aloo and Pillau rice on both occasions the food was excellent and it was nice to have an option to order something slightly different from the 3 main basic sauces that every Indian restaurant seem to do korma (cream sauce) tikka masala (tomato cream sauce) and basic curry/Bhuna sauce) after all isn't Indian food supposed to be about the contrast and complexity of different sauces and flavours? so any way I ordered methi chicken with the flavour profile leaning towards methi leaves, for those who don't know methi are basically fenugreek leaves and are usually added to most Indian curries in small quantities however in this dish the main flavour is methi and I can highly recommend it if you are bored of the useual.
I also had sag aloo which was the nicest sag aloo I have had in a while. Also there attention to detail when it came to the Pillau rice didn't go unnoticed, subtle inclusions that some Indian takeaways don't bother with like bay leaf, and Black cardamom which have a smokier taste to the green cardamoms. To conclude I would recommend this restaurant as they seem to take genuine pride in the food they present!

Second time eating here and I’m glad they sorted the funny smell in the place out! Had a deconstructed ‘Veda Chaat’ which I couldn’t enjoy properly as it was served on a huge plate. Chaats are to be served in small bowls so you scoop them up easily. Taste was so-so. Mains was alright (spinach dumplings with lemon rice), but the gulab jumon was seriously underwhelming. Again they got another Indian staple kinda wrong here by serving it as a squishy bready ball..this is not served right. Honestly there are better options out there

Dear Kris and all the wonderful staff at Veda.
It’s been far too long since I sat down in your company and experienced the exquisite taste sensations of everything Veda has to offer.
Your updated menu is brave and just so exciting to see the new additions especially the lamb dumpling soup which is sublime.
It’s been far too long, but at least you’ve sustained us with your equally delicious delivery service.
Thank you for surviving which I’m sure has been very difficult, but the rewards longer term will be very well deserved.

Often go to this restaurant/takeaway and the food is normally very good. Ordered a delivery last night and the chicken came over cooked, dried out and tough. Rang them to give feedback and was put on to the person in charge. He was arrogant and refused to accept the feedback, instead he blamed ‘Musgraves’ and said they had this problem before…… the obvious question is if they have a problem with their supplier why continue. Anyway, I would not have reviewed if the man in charge was capable of receiving feedback and accepting responsibility.
