Conflicted between the great diner atmosphere (Some cleaning and attention to ceiling tiles etc. desperately needed) and the basically good old fashioned diner food. Great idea, great service, but really needs some TLC.

It's a cute, 50's style diner but in dire need of cleaning. Straw papers on the floor, the ladies room had a dirty floor, overflowing trash can and no toilet paper. The server was friendly but harried, wait for food was long and scrambled eggs...More
There aren't too many diners around these days so we're so happy to have this one right downtown in Missoula. The pictures on the wall and the items displayed bring back memories for us and the menu offers a really good selection of diner fare....More
The atmosphere is 1950s, the burgers are large and perfectly prepared and the milk shakes are to die for. On our last visit, I added onion rings which were some of the best I've enjoyed anywhere. One grandson tried one for his first time and...More
Great banter between and with the servers. Fast service coupled with huge portions made for a wonderful brunch. Attentive staff made sure the coffee cup and water glass was never empty. Background oldies music made the experience even better.
We love the Uptown as they cook up the best veggie browns, breakfast, meatloaf sandwich and famous cream of tomato soup. It is a friendly home town place with all home-style cooking, comfortable diner environment and great music from the 50's. Don't miss their thick...More
Coffee cup is never empty and the food is what I remember when I was a kid. The service is with a smile and I have never had to wait for a table.
Great burgers, shakes and fries! Period style seating, decor and atmosphere. Voted the best shakes in town many times, One shake equals two full servings so ask to split one if that's too much. They'll serve it in two glasses. Only open for dinner on...More
