The placed was packed but we were seated within about 5 minutes. The breakfast was phenomenal. I couldn't decide what sausage to order so ended up with a "sampler" and three sides which included eggs, pancakes, and hashbrowns.all perfectly cooked. I didn't eat all my breakfast but managed to take two large go boxes home. Service was excellant and our... More

We arrived around 2, they close at 2:30, but they still served us with charm and smiles. All the food was fresh and delicious. I had the Monte Cristo, a made with cheddar instead of Swiss. Yummy

Steve's downtown near the Capital was recommended for breakfast by our friends who live in Helena. It was crowded, so we went to this location and were seated immediately. The breakfast is fresh, hot, and plentiful. The coffee is excellent and unlike most cafe coffee in the Northwest, was strong, or should I say "robust". Service by the happy staff... More

I had an excellent chicken fried steak, 2 x eggs, hash browns, fruit, and coffee for $13.20 + tip. A little high, but the food, service, and facilities were all great. Will definitely return!

We stopped at Steve's Cafe for a quick bite while traveling. It doesn't look like much on the outside but was clean and bright inside. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a 1/4 lb burger with coleslaw. Both were very good. My husband ordered a mushroom omelet and hash browns. They looked so good that I had... More

The food here wasn't what I had expected for the price I was paying. The waitress whom I believe was named Katie seemed uninterested and slightly annoyed when we were placing our order. To my family and I customer service is everything and I have to say I was very disappointed and for that reason I will not recommend Steve's... More

Best breakfast anywhere around! You will not be disappointed. Steve's Café started with Steve owning a restaurant in Montana City. He sold it and later opened two restaurants in Helena, and one in Idaho. Fantastic and consistent.

Thank Terry L
