Tomatoes in a Denver omelet?? Yuck! The food in the omelets was cold and not grilled first. Hashbrowns had a weird gross taste, and the toast was stone cold so butter didn't even melt on it. Service was terrible. We were the only ones in there and had to wait nearly an hour for the food. Won't be back.

Just the kind of little café we love to discover. The old schoolhouse was charming and we loved the "locals eat here" feel. However, not a fan of the Calf-A, homemade sign out front that hides the great architecture of the building, and I am assuming it was our waitresses first day. That aside it is a nice place for... We have stopped here probably 4 times, my husband more when he was trucking. It used to be very excellent but has changed hands. Food quality has gone down and not the same recipes anymore. Service was not with a smile and they seem to not want to be there at all, very disappointed and will stop elsewhere from now... More

We stopped on our way north and this place was a real treat! We really enjoyed the historical schoolhouse, our breakfast was nice, my husband had sausage with eggs and the sausage patty was huge! I ordered the eggs with ham, the ham was a little dry but good. This is a very good place to stop for a yummy... More

Best food in Montana bar none! You would never find this place if not for word- of- mouth. You just get off at the Dell, Montana exit and go across the railroad tracks and voila! You're there! Happy eatin' !

Great food, awesome service! The food is all home made, buns, cinnamon rolls and doughnuts and the best pie! A slab of roast beef, real mashed potatoes and real pan gravy. Wont be sorry! The Steak Finger special was perfect!

This is what small places were like in rural areas before interstate highways nearly forced their extinction. They serve meals all day and all are of the same size - huge. It seems as that's the only size whether it's pancakes or burgers - it comes out platter sized. We try to time our visits for breakfast either on the... More

Well worth the wait, large portions, and amazing food! this family owned (multi generation) cafe, is added to our list of must stop places while traveling. it is placed in an old school house. We were well fed, and the sour dough short stack of flap jacks were great! the staff was very friendly and we had some great conversations... More

Bring your tired and hungry here. Montana folk doing what they love and proud of it. Remember, you are in Montana and things are done a little differently here. Roast beef dinner with real mashed potatoes and gravy, a roll and butter and the best Split Pea and Ham soup I have ever tasted. $13.00 Kept the ol'man satisfied until... More
