Great place to dine with the family. Good food and great variety from pizza to sandwiches and comfort food. Great desserts and baked goods. Also serve beer and wine. Not too noisy and rarely crowded. Conveniently located.

The restaurant is beautiful, their system is similar to Panera Bread. I had the French toast, it was ok at best and not worth the steep price. The service was ok but nothing special.

Grains of Montana offers a great friendly atmosphere with wonderful food. The menu is a real treat. If you're looking for a quick bite of heaven try the 1/2 Turkey Bacon with the Bacon Potato Soup!

We ordered 2 combo meals: A 1/2 Turkey, bacon sandwich with French Onion soup and a 1/2 tuna sandwich with mac & cheese. We also ordered a caramel brownie and Orange You Happy smoothie. The turkey bacon 1/2 sandwich and mac and cheese were good; not anything to write home about or worth coming back for, but good. Everything else... More

Today I was at Grains with my family from out of town. I'm not commonly there for lunch, but I was glad I was! Several soups today and I ordered the potato bacon. Yummy! Added a 1/2 sandwich of turkey and raspberry jam. What a great combination, and the fresh bread was fabulous! The kids in our group had the... More

Went in because I heard it was a good place for breakfast and it was close to where I was working. The staff was very friendly but the food was mediocre, the brisket sandwich I had was flavorless and French onion soup was not hot enough to melt the cheese they put in it. In addition there were large black... More

Grains used to be on a regular circuit of restaurants we visited for Sunday breakfast or brunch. Because there have been some new options in town, it had been some months since we dined there. We met there for Sunday brunch and were disappointed--things seemed to have changed--new owners/new management? Service was efficient. You order at the front counter, self... More

Very friendly staff. (We're in Montana; how could it be otherwise?) The pizza was pretty ordinary. The salad was below par. (Greenish tomatoes, wilted iceberg lettuce?) The beer was fine. We were here with friends, otherwise we'd have left sooner.

I like the food here. I like the small, local business aspect. The thing that keeps it from being 5 stars is the toast. How hard is it to make toast? Every time I order something with toast, I imagine slices of warm, crispy, golden-brown toast. What I get are cold, slightly dried-out pieces of bread. When they figure out... More
