Try the Butterknife Tenderloin for Two. This was a splendid cut of beef prepared to it's finest. Service was great and everything was perfect. Usually, we just stop by for lunch in the cafe while on our travels. The Friday soup is my wife's favorite clam chowder. But the dining room is really special so sometimes we make the drive... More

When arriving in at the Grand Hotel, our first thought was food! We had quick friendly service, two menus to choose from, free pizza was offered. We chose the more moderate priced menu and ordered stake sandwiches, which were great.

The food was very tasty and delicious, the customer service was great, the staff was very attentive to my needs. The food prices are high for Montana that I have come across.

We ate in the 1890's room, it has pretty mountain and waterfall pictures. We had the Roast Butter Knife Filet for Two, which is a center cut beef tenderloin served w/ broiled tomato, baby red potatoes & asparagus which was excellent. The salad 🥗, fresh bread 🍞, and bread sticks are very good. We did not have room for dessert... More

Very nice to have a restaurant/bar where you are staying. I had Idaho trout and it was delicious! Cooked on a grill.

I went to Big Timber just to eat at The Grand. I'd heard about how great it was and I was not disappointed. The bar was comfortable. I enjoyed the bacon wrapped scallops. The prime rib was excellent. The host and server were both friendly and attentive. I would recommend The Grand for dinner when you're in the area.

We were visiting friends on their ranch in Big Timber and they took us to the only place in town which was The Grand Hotel an historic Victorian building, for lunch. We had no complaints, good lunch good service and since we were taken I cannot comment on good value or not. Our host owns a several thousand acre cattle... More

We were staying at the Grand Hotel and were so tired we couldn't have gone anywhere else. Deb's sister had lunch here one time and loved it so we gave it a shot for dinner. Well the food was fantastic and service beyond great. Deb had the fresh caught Pike, which I also had to try, and it was the... More

Beautiful kept up historic building that is authentic and top notch. Staff for lunch was very nice and professional. Some local friends took us for lunch and we loved it. Nice selection on the menu, large wine list and good food. The half salad or special half sandwich and soup is plenty big.
