We honestly didn't know much of anything about the cuisine. I suppose we could guess, but the staff was helpful and informative. We like or love every item, no matter how unusual. Had a laugh when I asked them what Jerk Sauce was, answer was "Tomato, (pause) but the recipe is a secret." Definitely will go back.

The restaurant exterior is nondescript, however, once inside you get the distinct feeling you pulled off the road in Jamaica and found an honest to goodness Jamaican restaurant. It was authentic right down to when you had to use the restroom you took a path through the kitchen (grin)! My server was actually Jamaican and that added to the experience.... More

I wouldn't know what the food here tastes like. This place is supposed to be open at noon. My wife and I have been waiting, and now it's 12:35, and they're still not open, although we can see the staff inside. Island time, apparently.

We went to De Palm Tree for dinner. Jerk chicken is very good, & not too spicy. The meat pies are not to be missed, along with the rum punch. The staff are super friendly, & helpful with menu choices. It is a cozy place to get really great Jamaican food!

It is a rare treat to luck into such an awesome restaurant! The food was sooooo flavorful and fresh! Portions were generous (we had enough for another dinner the next day) and prices were reasonable. Everything was excellent, we will be back!

My husband and I went to De Palm Tree in December for lunch. We really enjoyed the beef paddies and loved the jerk chicken. We know our jerk cause we make our own at home from scratch! Can't wait to return next time with friends.

This is a tiny yet fun place for Jamaican food. Music on the weekends. Yummy food but not a place to go if you are on a diet. Large portions.

My husband & I had just arrived in St. Louis from New York & we stopped here on the way to the hotel. I must say the restaurant is small, but very comfortable. You definitely get the feel like you were in the Caribbean. Anyway we ordered take out which took about 15 - 20 minutes for the person taking... More

My wife and I got there soon after opening up. We thought that it wasn't going to be a positive experience. Our server was very slow, didn't seem to want to help us, and was just bad. Fortunately, her attitude and behavior both picked up. Moving on...the menu has quite a few selections to choose from. My wife had the... More

Found this place by complete accident....and just....wow! It's small....really small. Service is a little slow...but WELL worth the wait! The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and well kept. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich....it's a HUGE sandwich, served with pineapple slices on the side. Simply put: Amazing. A coworker ordered the oxtail stew and said it was fantastic as well. Cannot... More
