A neighborhood classic that has been 'discovered'. I've eaten here for over 30 years and still look forward to the next visit. 3rd generation owner is on site daily to make sure it's right. They are all great but be sure to try the famous hot salami. It's incredible.

This is a no-frills, great service sandwich place. It is everything you'd want a mom & pop place to be. My favorite sandwich is the Italian Trio. The half size is more than enough. They have a decent outdoor eating area for anytime, but especially nice on 70-something degree days in February. Two people can get a delicious lunch, including... More

My husband and I went here for lunch on President's Day. It was a lovely day and the place was busy! It is a small shop and the line was out the door. The line moves quickly. I had a Spicy Dagget. It was great. It had toasted salami, cappacola, on a roll with pepperjack cheese and giardinera. I loved... More

This was our first visit here. The staff was very helpful in assisting us on what to order, although I can't imagine not liking anything from this place. It is small and can be crowded, but this just adds to the "coolness" of the shop. We will be back. They also have a food truck.

Best Deli sandwich I've had in a very long time. I frequent this and the downtown location for lunch during the week and highly recommend it!! Really good cookies and soft drinks as well!!

They just won a James Beard award. Stop in for a visit, and you'll understand why. Our first visit, we all had to try the hot salami. I can't believe my wife even loved it, and she doesn't even care for salami! We can't wait to go back. Make sure to sign up for the "word of the week" email... More

The hot salami sandwich should be on the to-try list of everyone who lives by or passes through the area. I usually order it on garlic cheese bread with pepper jack cheese. Totally worth every calorie.

Gioia's is the best deli in St. Louis hands down. My whole family loves it from the hot salami my personal favorite to the meat ball my oldest loves it. Its about a 15 to 20 minute drive for us but so worth it.

This is my kind of place. Really funky and takes you back in time. We decided to go eat lunch on the Hill and drove around and saw Gioia's Deli and decided to give it a try. What a great place to stumble onto. This place is probably the same as it was when it first opened. It's small and... More

My son and I love to come here for lunch. He always gets the Porknado...ham, hot salami, and bacon with Swiss. I go back and forth between the meatball and the hot salami. Both are delicious. Hot, fresh, and fast. Staff is courteous and friendly. We will be back....next time for the New York Philly! Highly recommended!

Thank Beth S
