Good food and service at a reasonable price. We stopped in after an afternoon at the zoo and then let the kids play at Turtle Park afterwards. Will return.

Excellent toasted ravioli and hands down the best gizzards I have ever eaten. Service was great and the drink selection was plentiful and fantastic. We ordered several different items and they were all great!

This is the type of place that you visit and it feels like Cheers...where everyone knows your name! The food is great, best fried chicken in St. Louis! They have music most days of the week and it is nice just to go in and grab a pint and listen to some Irish tunes!!

Thanks so much for your great feedback! People do love our chicken and beer selection indeed! We have live jazz every Thursday night, live Irish music every Sunday brunch, and we try to throw in some fun music here or there throughout the week! More

This was a great old-style tavern that was just comfortable. The food was lovely too, great bar food. Our service was delightful and friendly -- really nice to walk into after a long, hot day at the zoo. It was a family visit, and I felt perfectly comfortable with having my children there. (This was during the day... not sure... More

Local bar with good food, great fried chicken (get the spicy coating), good service, close to Forest Park

Hi there - so glad you enjoyed the food. We are proud of our fried chicken, and we do recommend the seasoned breading on our chicken unless you are very spice-averse (it's not too spicy!) -- thanks! More

I wasn't wowed by Pat Connolly. It was your old style tavern, (nothing wrong with that). Definitely fried food I am guessing is their forte, you could smell the grease when you entered. They do offer items for those who want to go meat free. They actually had a quiche with fruit cup as a special for $6. I ordered... More

Hi Carol, thanks for your review. I'm sorry you only had a so-so experience. Yes indeed fried foods are one of our speciality but we do have quite a few non-fried and vegetarian items of the menu. As for the fruit, we will take that idea to heart in revisiting how we prepare this. More

Going to the Muny and had to run some errands first, and was going to eat dinner out. By the time I was done with errands I had to ear somewhere close. I chose this place only for location and did not want to eat bar food. I did not have high expectations. When we walked in someone behind the... More

Hi, and thanks for your feedback! We're proud to offer a small-but-mighty array of vegetarian options. In addition to the Fresh Veggie on ciabatta with pesto mayo, we also have a "meaty" veggie burger featuring Match vegan meat. And for tourists wanting a taste of the iconic St. Louis toasted ravioli, ours are some of the highest-rated in town... and... More

This has been an old time tavern in DogTown for many many years. Only recently did they open for breakfast on weekends. On a visit with a group of 10 friends, we were very favorably impressed --- both by the food, the service and the reasonableness of the price. Several in our party commented that they will come back to... More

Great refuge after a hot day at the zoo. Definitely in walking distance if you parked at the zoo. Had the toasted ravioli and a French dip with pub chips. Food was good, as was the service. Would definitely recommend.

Thanks so much for your feedback! We really appreciate getting visitors from the Zoo. We hand bread our jumbo ravioli so they have a fresh, crispy texture. So glad you liked them! Hope to see you again. More
