The chicken parmesan is wonderful! The tomato sauce they used is sweet and tasty. The portions were large. The bread was wonderful too. This restaurant had the best host I had ever had at a restaurant. He made the 30 minute wait zoom by, because he was so engaging with the customers. The bus boys were great too. The waiters... More

We were visiting St. Louis and stopped here for lunch. The staff was very pleasant and the service was outstanding. Our meal was good and since it was lent we all had seafood but what impressed us Catholic guys from Tennessee was they made their special a salmon pasta dish for Catholics that can't eat meat during lent. I definitely... More

This is a wonderful place to have authentic Italian Cuisine. The service is impeccable, too. My pasta con broccoli was truly the best I have ever eaten. The house salad is divine.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy but not overly crowded. Everyone in the group loved their food. One item to note is that on the weekends they only serve the dinner menu, so no sandwiches or lunch menu. We had good service, but a loud waiter. He tried to be lots of fun, we just wanted to eat... Staff was great, service pretty good. Restaurant packed on a Sunday night but 6 adults all felt their meal was subpar....what did Food Magazine see that we missed? Won't rely on Food Magazine's recommendations nor return to Mama's on the Hill.

The meatballs were huge and worth every bite. The tortellini papa was really good too. Tried the lemon cake and it was great. Would definitely come back.

We received very good service, but the food was bland and really didn't have much taste. Probably won't return.

Must try the toasted ravioli. I usually get the manicotti or baked lasagna but I honestly have never had a bad anything from them.

Great menu. Great food. Great people. But I am prejudiced. They named a winter lunch special after me. Try the Friday lunch special - unlimited soup and salad. $8.99. plus warm Italian bread. The minestrone soup is excellent. Their house salad is 1 of the best in the city. Come to The hill and try it. you'll like it. (maybe... More
