Went here much earlier this year and was not impressed. Came back k Sep 5 and was very pleasantly surprised with how much it improved! Clean inside and out. Great bartender on the patio. Fun to watch the people in paddle boats. Great classics seating...More

We got to the boathouse at 11:10 (opens at 11:00) and there was a 45 minute wait as all the tables with service were already taken. Hostess said people line up before it is open. We thought this was a good sign. We opted to...More

After walking around the zoo we decided to check out the boat house. I was not sure what to expect for the quality of the food but was pleasantly surprised it was wonderful. I had the bacon jalapeño flat bread and my husband had the...More

We sat down for a drink and a snack before exploring the lake by paddle boat. The drinks were nothing special: premixed, super sweet cocktails. The food was ok: the toasted ravioli was decent. But it is pleasant to sit by the water and feed...More

Although it was a bit warm outside, we found a nice table in the shade. They're pretty busy so we took the option to sit in the open seating area and ordered food at the counter, which we picked up a short while later. They...More

There are many open tables outside the restaurant where you can sit with your dog. We ordered food from a counter and then they gave you a buzzer for when it was ready. The food was average and took a long time to come out....More

I took my girlfriend to the Boathouse for lunch the other day to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. We arrived at 1:30 and were sat immediately. Our waitress brought us the brunch menu and told us they only serve brunch until 2 so we told...More

Was expecting better food for the price. The food was okay. Portions were small. I had the lobster benedict, probably would not order it again. The burgers were the better choice this time.

Not sure why we had to wait for a table when 1/2 of them were empty! They seated us as far from the small lake as possible when 1/3 of the tables were open!! Food was to be expected, nothing to write home about. Beers...More

If you have an hour to kill and need a little leg exercise, this was a lot of fun. Paddleboats hold four, but only two peddle, which is not as easy if you fill up the boat. Beautiful lake area to paddle around in, including...More

Back and better than ever. This casual restaurant, bar, and boat rental facility, located in the heart of Forest Park on Post-Dispatch Lake, is like no other place in St. Louis. The Boathouse has undergone major renovations thanks to a gift from the Jack Taylor family. In the warm weather enjoy leisurely boat rides, lakeside patio dining, cold drinks, live music, and beautiful sunsets. In the cold weather enjoy indoor dining for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch…or just come and enjoy a glass of wine or a hot chocolate while relaxing around the large stone wood-burning fireplace. **Due to increased traffic in the Park during our busy season, we’ll be able to accommodate reservations for large parties only, 10-16 people, for indoor dining at specific times. Otherwise, our seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.
