When traveling the Midwest by car, we enjoy seeking out establishments along what is left of 'Route 66'. Often these places label themselves as such and play up their heritage. It's always fun to find one that is just doing what they've done for years- providing an affordable meal to the hungry traveler. Eat Rite Diner does just that. No... More

Four of us ate here on a cold January morning. The Eat-Rite has about 10 seats at the counter and no tables. The menu is displayed on the wall above the grille. The food is basic and good: burgers, sandwiches, and pie, as well as breakfasts. The waitress behind the counter was friendly and you can easily see the cook... More

Our 2016 annual Baseball Pilgrimage bought 9 life long fans of baseball, travel, history, and most importantly love of food. Eat-Rite was a bullseye on each category mentioned. Set only blocks away from the Cardinals Stadium, Score. Situated along the former Route 66, she has fed many a hungry traveler, besides my group of pilgrims, Score. Eat-Rite proudly boasts a... We took an Uber from the casino to this diner as was to be open 24 hours. We arrived and found the lights were on, people sitting at the counter, and a staff member behind the counter. But the door was locked and the staff member waved us away....so not quite sure what was going on or why the employee... More

We had breakfast. Food was good and reasonably priced. Enjoyed watching the young man cook in front of us but didn't get his name. He and Cheryl the waitress were both very friendly.

This place has been here for quite some time. The waitress we had has been working there for decades. If you want simple, great, diner food, this is the place for you. Don't expect fancy. It is worth the stop. Friendly staff, good conversation, and great food.

Counter only diner, but the waitress and cook were friendly and the food was good. I'd go back next time we're staying downtown.

Their food is great and the service is fast. I recommend the burgers or the fries with chile. I hope you have as good of a visit as I did. I will give it three thumbs-up. 👍👍👍

Stopped here for vacation breakfast. This place is great. Another vintage midwest diner in St. Louis. The place looks like it hasn't been updated for years. Has vintage arcade game. Nothing wrong with the food, serves breakfast and hamburgers at all hours. Very cool place, worth a visit just to say you have been there once.
