It is an interesting restaurant. We visited there after going on a photo field trip. We had a fairly large group. The menu was not too large, but had a combination of Irish and American dishes. It didn't take long to get our food despite...More

Even on a hot, sunny June day this courtyard and food was great. We got a shady spot and enjoyed a very good meal. Helpings are big, so its hard to eat it all. But it was so good!

Excellent atmosphere, beer selection, and cuisine. The staff is johnny on the spot and very attentive. The ambiance of the backyard type environment and the water features make for a very relaxing venue. The Filet de Mignon was perfectly cooked and the balsamic reduction sauce...More

Pray for good weather and eat outside on the deck in the courtyard. The food is good, the people are nice, but the courtyard is such a wonderful place to spend sometime.

We chose J. D. McGurk's, since it has a nice outdoor patio and Saturday was a nice weather day. The place was crowded with wedding and pre ballgame revelers. It cleared out some as they moved on to their receptions and game and we were...More

I've only been there for lunch and there was no music. I'm sorry I can't help answer your question. Food is amazing, though. Now I'm hungry for their Rueben--beat I've ever eaten.
Is it 21 and older or can you bring children in to eat?

Established in 1978 as a one room pub house, John D. McGurk’s Irish Pub and Garden has risen to the top of the class among the Irish Pubs in St. Louis. In fact, Esquire Magazine, in its June, 2011 Edition, saluting the best bars in America, chose John D. McGurk’s as its only bar honored in the city of St. Louis.

McGurk’s is known throughout the Midwest for its great Irish music, food, drink, and its 10,000 square foot outdoor garden, complete with breathtaking landscaping, a fountain, a waterfall, and two terrific outdoor bars. Inside and out, McGurk’s is nearly 20,000 square feet of pure Irish fun.

Irish musicians entertain the patrons nightly, traveling to St. Louis from Galway to Dublin, Cork to Derry.

The inside of McGurks is a series of strung together dining rooms and bars. Its brick and wood décor with wonderful Irish artifacts makes one think they are enjoying a pub in Dublin.

McGurk’s has become a great place to celebrate special occasions like rehearsal dinners and private banquets.

McGurk’s has all the available Irish beer and spirits and serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. In addition to typical pub grub, McGurk’s offers wonderful steaks, assorted fish entrees, pasta specialties, and a delightful rack of lamb.

Great food, drink, and entertainment make McGurk’s a memorable stop. We look forward to raising a pint with you upon your next visit. Sláinte!
