Two of us split the eggs combo grande with bacon. They were very helpful splitting the dish in the kitchen on two plates. They had tasty home fries. We tried an order of sopapillas (5) as an appetizer, served with honey, which we were glad we tried. One of us got the breakfast burrito with housemade sausage, but there is... More

Brunch on a Wednesday - so not too busy. Delicious breakfast dishes, although a bit too spicy for me, our friends enjoyed everything. Generous portions. Excellent service.

The three egg omelet with goat cheese and avocado salad are simply perfection! However I did not care for the pancake what so ever and side potatoes were not particular my favorite either. As far as environment, you could sense how well all the employees got along. They were talking and joking, yet still working very efficiently. It is a... More

Our son took us here for breakfast and we loved the cornmeal pancakes, bisquits, and spicy omelettes. So many great dishes and flavors. We were lucky to visit on a weekday, as I understand the lines are super long on the weekend.

We had an Interesting dinner. The food was good food with a southwest twist. Go during the week if you can because you will have a wait on a weekend. the portions are very large. Some waiters were friendly, some others not so much. Fun place but it is only open for breakfast and lunch. Their coffee was great!

This breakfast-lunch joint has established itself in the Maplewood neighborhood with an excellent reputation. It's always busy! But to accommodate their waiting clientele, the owners have dolled up an old school bus, where folks can have free coffee and water in the air conditioned interior, or buy a margarita from the bartender on the bus. My go-to favorite on their... More

Despite living close to this restaurant, it took me forever to try the place. Now I've been back several times since! This place gets very busy on the weekend, but don't worry...if there's a wait, you can hang out in the bus on the side of the building! Once seated in the restaurant, service is fast and food is great!... More

This is probably my third or fourth time coming to Southwest Diner, but I seriously question whether or not I shall return. My daughter and I went for breakfast on a Sunday. We were ask to wait in their bus, which is fine. We each had a Bloody Mary which was really good and spicy. My problem with the Diner... More

Service was awesome. Cornmeal Pancake was splendid with their berry compote. I ordered 4 scrambled eggs with red onion, goat cheese & spinach that was so amazing I thought I made it myself. They also have great cocktails to accompany the great food & service. Plenty seating but stays packed so arrive early.

A New Mexico themed diner. Interestingly, it is on Southwest Avenue. Their slogan is something like, A taste of the Southwest on Southwest.
