Cafe Trio is one of our favorite restaurants! We had a variety of appetizers and entrees. Of note, the corn poblano soup was outstanding. While other appetizers were good, the soup was the best. As to entrees, we had a sirloin steak, Famous Mac n...More

I have been near this place for several years and I decided to try it. If the weather is nice the back patio is a nice place to sit enjoy and eat. The bartender makes a generic old-fashioned but it is not on the drink...More

Among the better happy hours we've experienced. Prices are very affordable and the drinks are certainly full sized and inexpensive as well. We tried half dozen of apps between the three of us and photo'd several but all were well presented and delish. We loved...More

Patio is inviting and beautiful view of the plaza. We've been there 3 times and still cannot figure out why it takes so long for a drink order to be served. Food is very good.

First visit to Café Trio, so maybe I need to make another visit before reviewing, but I was not impressed on this first visit. We did get to eat outside which was nice and the servers were pleasant and efficient, but the food for our...More

We had not been to Cafe Trio for dinner in months. Last night we were treated to outstanding service by Richard, a couple of visits from one of the owners, and excellent food. The ceviche appetizer was the right temperature loaded with small shrimp and...More

Enjoyed dinner with friends! The appetizers were delicious with nothing wasted. Even some appetizers can be a meal--I had steak kabobs. I received 3 kabobs filled with steak, and one with veggies, over a plate of french fries. It was perfect for my appetite!

This is the best place to watch the sunset and here some live piano music at the same time. I love the decor of Cafe Trio - Thank you to all the staff who are always very awesome and attentive.

Went to CT for my 50th birthday. Requested outside seating and got it, which was much appreciated. The view from the deck is essentially a parking lot. The parking lot was very convenient and free. The service was very good, quick, not annoying, personable. The...More

Description
Comfortable, calming and chic, Café Trio draws a diverse clientele of urban dwellers, on-the-town suburbanites and tourists who strike up lively conversations over classically inspired craft cocktails and beautifully imagined seasonal, from-scratch dishes. Perched on the incline at 45th and Main Street, the restaurant’s all-seasons patio view of the J.C. Nichols Fountain and Country Club Plaza add to the vibe. Executive Chef Adam Yoder and his culinary team hand-cut the steaks and chops and use a cornucopia of local and regional produce and artisan foods for their well-curated menu. Don’t-miss items include Café Trio’s handcrafted cracker-crust pizzas, roasted chicken, confit garlic mashed potatoes and the warm chocolate truffle cake. Imbibe your pleasures at the weekly happy hour with signature martinis such as the Marilyn Monroe or Paris Hilton — paired with the Price Edward Island mussels or crispy lump crab cakes, you just might have fantasies of taking up residence in one of Café Trio’s comfy booths. And if you’re planning a party, Trio’s two private event spaces are just the ticket for a sexy soiree.
