We stayed this past weekend and we were given coupons for the breakfast buffet in the oak room. The food was excellent and provided a large variety of options both mornings. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Our waitress both mornings was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Thanks for the positive experience!

We went to the Oak Room for Christmas dinner as a family. At $65 a plate, one would hope for a great meal. Sadly that was not the case. The salad course was nice. The crab bisque was tasty but not served hot. The one prime rib that was served was on the dry side. The other five plates of... More

the service and food were outstanding. cannot praise the waitress enough, anticipated everything in an effortless way. unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working that morning and it was quite uncomfortable. i felt there should have been some credit offered for the situation. they were very kind and kept trying to move the fan around, but at that price point... Five night stay for a conference with little time to wander at lunch left the Oak Room as my only option for lunch. It was a pleasant surprise with wonderful fresh ingredients and an attentive staff. The view of the terrace and pool brought the outside in without the oppressive humidity of August in Kansas City. The decor was comfortable... More

I had my first High Tea in a trip to London a couple of years ago. A friend that was visiting Kansas City asked if we could do it again. I had to admit I didn't know if there was any where in Kansas City that did High Tea. A quick search on the Internet showed the Oak Room at... More

I just want to write a comment about the "high tea" at oak room. Nothing stylish or unique. Poor air conditioning. The AC wasn't working properly and they were using fans but still didn't help much. Imagine with that heat and humidity how discomfortable could be drinking hot tea! The small bites were OK but I had no desire to... More
