Exceptional service and great ambiance, go for the standards. I tried the chicken & spinach crepe and it was really boring, disappointing. Stick to the onion soup and the salad nicoise and you won't be disappointed. The profiteroles were fabulous, as always!

The restaurant is located in a quiet neighborhood amid some smaller shops and it's in a very pretty area near a college. It wasn't very busy to the warm ambience was comfortable and quiet. Highly recommended and hope to go there again one day.

We joined some friends on the sunny patio for Happy Hour and we were all pleased with the variety of appetizers, wine and cocktails. The mussels were particularly good and the service excellent.

Aixois is situated in a corner building in a gorgeous Kansas City neighborhood. It's a relaxing place to sit on the patio and watch the world go by as you eat some rich French food or sip wine. The pastries are delicious. The patio is pet friendly, and they provide a bowl of water for your furry friend. Good service.

I've been one of a group of four on two fairly recent occasions, and so can vouch for the quality of eight plates. The main dinner menu doesn't offer a lot of diversity, and the "happy hour" slate is even thinner, but that may be their way of insuring that what they do deliver is going to be a dish... More

Boyfriend and I went to Aixos for Valentines Day dinner (but had also eaten there before.) We had reservations, but arrived a bit early and were cheerfully seated. The service was very nice, the food well- prepared and pleasingly presented (he had salmon, I had pepper steak), and the dessert (a Germán chocolate cake with rum-soaked cherries and cream filling)... We went for KC Restaurant Week. It was our first visit so we did not know what to expect. The decor and atmosphere is very casual, jeans are not at all out of place, but either are nice slacks or dresses. The wait staff is very efficient and knowledgeable about the menu items. The table bread is good, basically a... More

I have been here for lunch, dinner and coffee. Service is always pleasant and food is delicious. There are a lot of hard surfaces in the main room so I give it less than a 5 rating because it is noisy. The smaller front room is cozier and not as echoing. The duck comfit I had for a holiday 2016... More

I sent tt 2 guns up to get some food. Croque Madame. Fried bread with Swiss and ham and a egg over easy on top. So good. Way over priced at $13 for a sandwich but it is good. Lazy staff as they just sit around and watch you order and make your own coffee.

Well I didn't get back here until a year later after volunteering at the KC Rep near by. This time we were here on a Sunday night which offered 1/2 price on bottle of wine. Our party of 3 took advantage of that and had a nice Pinot Noir for about $5.33 per person. They had a special menu for... More

Description
Aixois is a classic French bistro in Kansas City’s Brookside neighborhood, just a few blocks from the world-famous Country Club Plaza. Nestled on the Trolley Trail in the Crestwood Shops, Aixois offers Kansas City’s best outdoor patio and an intimate, relaxed dining room.

Emmanuel Langalde, a native of Aix-en-Provence, opened Aixois with his wife Megan in 2001. Chef Emmanuel, inspired by the techniques and recipes of his native France, offers a distinct menu focused on fresh, organic, seasonal ingredients. He also works with area farmers, butchers, and bakers to bring local flavor to his classic French cuisine.
