Its located in the City Market. Really cool area. The restaurant is old and has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the food is really not good. Meat was very dry. We had burnt ends and Brisket. The burnt in were at the most ok. The brisket was very dry. One a good point the BBQ sauce was pretty good. Service was... More

We had a burn ends sandwich. It was very good. Nice place to stop for a few moments when in the City Market.

This was our first BBQ spot and as it was a great sandwhich, we found some great local spots that topped this place. The fries were super tasty!

Super location just off the trolley line. Nice outdoor patio. Barbecue was strikingly average. Brisket was a little dry. Pulled pork sandwich was better. Their house specialty was greasy and like a sloppy Joe with a mixture of meats. The fried pickles were very good and the server was great.

Four of us ate here last weekend as part of our visit to the City Market. I hadn't been to Winslow's for over 20 years, though it still pretty much looks and feels the same. I wanted to try the wings since they used to be the whole reason to come to Winslow's. Back in the day the wings were... More

Easy to get to on the trolley and a great meal. A different style of bbq, more smoked than seasoned but with an excellent bbq sauce. Sides were good too. Worth a trip.

A group of us were visiting and decided to shop the River Market. Winslow's was right there in the midst so we decided to remedy our craving for BBQ. We sat outside enjoying the beautiful weather and the flurry of shoppers. We decided on a pitcher of margaritas. They were very good. The bbq, however, was not. I had the... More

We are not sure if this was just an off day at Winslow's but there were clearly not enough staff on. Servers were running around like headless chickens, clearly overwhelmed and stressed. Waited 20 minutes for someone to come to the table with menus. Waited another 20 minutes for order to be taken and another twenty minutes for our food.... More

Our family of nine is traveling across the United States and eating out more frequently than normal. This barbecue place was not top notch sadly. Barbecue was OK fries yuck service blah. This restaurant was located in the city market which is a really cute place. As a sidenote I highly recommend the Coffee House located in the corner of... More

These are the BEST wings in town. The bbq might not be my fave in KC, but the wings are worth the trip downtown. The city market atmosphere is fun, and this is a great joint to partake in a patio seat. Don't bother with ranch or bleu cheese for your wings - YOU WON'T NEED IT! ;)
