I have been many times in the past and have always loved everything. That was not the case today. #13 The Patriot is supposed to have strawberries, bananas, and blueberries inside along with a pudding like vanilla creme. The only creme was a slight drizzle...on top. This left the crepes very dry and somewhat tough. Also the service was bad. Lots of staff but seemed like they were in a daze. Our order sat on the counter for quite awhile before it was delivered.More

When my friends come to visit, they always suggest we leave time to enjoy Chez Elle crepes. Their crepes are definitely worth the drive into town. I try a different savory crepe every time I go and I haven't had one I don't thoroughly relish....And even though I know I'll be full after that, I can't resist getting one of the sweet crepes. And of course a coffee to go with it. The service is just as good as the crepes.More

I guarded the patio table while my companion went in and ordered for us. I got the Philly cheese steak crepe, which was devine and filling but we still ordered dessert (pictured below) and walked away blissfully stuffed. The Philly cheese steak crepe was perfectly...golden brown with a thin hollandaise sauce over it with generous amounts of think sliced beef, red peppers, and stringy provolone. It was delightful. I was relatively full but my dining partner had already been singing the praises of the Au Chocolat (Chocolate crêpe batter filled with chocolate mousse topped with raspberry sauce and chocolate sauce) so we ordered that and shared it. It was delectable and the perfect amount of decadence to share. Because of Covid-19, cutlery was disposable and came prepackaged so do be prepared to navigate your crepes with a plastic knife and fork. Bon Appetit!More

Family of two ate here for brunch today. We split the ham, egg & cheese crepe and the strawberry, banana & blueberry crepe. Once you order at the window you find a place to sit. Tables were spaced out well and there are several outside...too. Two crepes and two bottled waters were $23. It took about 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Their crepe recipe is really good. We definitely will be back.More

A hidden gem near downtown KC. Nice selection of savory crepes. And amazing dessert crepes--lemon/strawberry my favorite. Don't overlook the lobster bisque--maybe the best I've ever had. Very casual-- order at counter and food brought to your table--but unique in a good way.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Kansas City! Delicious food, eclectic location. Try the "Tour Eiffle", a smoked salmon crepe with creme fraiche, capers, artichokes and other goodies! Sweet or savory; so many choices. Add a Mimosa!

My daughter and I went for brunch to Chez Elle Creperie Coffeehouse on Saturday. The place was packed!! People everywhere... It’s a little different type of eatery here. You stand in line, you place an order, you are given a #number and you find your...own place to sit. You can help yourself to a water which there are 2 stations. It’s a bit tricky to find a spot to sit but most people eat and go. Some hang out for a while... We waited for our “patriot crepes” for about 30 minutes. We also ordered mimosa’s (mostly sparkle wine with a dash of orange juice, pretty strong). Crapes were delicious, fruits: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and bananas were very fresh and tasty!! Whipped cream was light and was literally melting in mouth- made from scratch there. Lemony sauce to top crapes was absolutely lovely to balance the sweetness. I loved this little place! Will definitely be back!More

Very unimpressed. First the teenager that took our order had a bad attitude, she mumbled to us while the coffee machine whizzed along making plenty of noise when I said, “I’m sorry?” A few times as a way of politely saying, I can’t hear you,...she wouldn’t speak up and resorted to pointing at things. We finally got our order in with her and her bad attitude and sat down. We then cleaned our own table as no one had bothered to wipe it off. We waited a good 20-30 minutes for our food to arrive. When our food arrived it was cold and I asked if we could please get our coffee that we had ordered. After a few minutes they brought our coffee. They just drop stuff off at your table. They don’t ask if you need anything or seem to care at all. They’re just there to drop it off and be gone. American crepes. I think sliced ham would have jived much better inside of the thin crepe, much better than the chunks they put in it. We spent $37 on a breakfast we didn’t care for at all.More

Stopped by with the family and enjoyed several sweet and savory crepes. Lattes were also very good. Wife mentioned a camera in the bathroom, with is creepy... So look out for that. Overall good experience for food and service.

First of all, I want to point out that my poor rating is not related to the food this place serves. I can’t speak of the food simply because I was never given a chance to try it. For reasons unknown to me, the place...wasn’t open on the day I was due to visit. I had heard and read nice things about Chez Elle, but the only chance I had to visit was on my last morning while on a business trip in Kansas City. I had an hour and a half before needing to leave for the airport, and because I really wanted to try this place I decided to squeeze it in before leaving. As it was a Friday, they were supposed to have opened at 0730; that’s what their website said and that’s what their sign outside their place said. I got there at 0752 but doors were shut and not a single soul was anywhere to be seen. I knocked several times but nothing. Prior to my visit I had checked their website to make sure they were open that particular day. Nothing indicated that they wouldn’t be. Unfortunately for me, this particular morning there was really heavy rain in Kansas City so all I got that morning was absolutely soaked - no crêpes. I emailed them later to ask what had happened but I have not received a reply. I hope nothing bad has happened (to the entire staff...), but right now I am just so angered by Chez Elle’s lack of respect and care for their (potential) customers so I’d advice against anyone going there - simply for moral reasons. You’ll get much better service at the Mexican place across the street.More
