Don't go. We ordered the set menu: seviche, the chicken / something with Rice and fish and a drink for 15 sol pp. The seviche (only one) came after almost 45 minutes. Seviche was ok. The second seviche came after 10 minutes after asking again. We needed to ask for the drinks as well. The main (again only for one... More

We went there after a surf lesson so quite hungry . The place was recommended by the surf instructor . Food was good, take the combo with ceviche first. The chicken was a small portion of the wing. The arroz con mariscos was well served but a bit heavy. Overall positive considering the cheap price.

After reading the reviews below and not particularly liking the 'suggestive sellers' who flag you down on the street to hassle you to eat at this resto we have avoided El Rey II for a year now. Also you can get chicharrón for cheaper in Huanchaco than here, where a plate is priced from 25-30 PEN. However, on a very... More

Word of warning to all, save your money and go elsewhere. We ended up eating here for lunch by default, we were on a lunch break from our tour and had eaten the day before at the lovely hotel restaurant across the road from here, it's called Huanchaco Paradise Resto-Bar, a really lovely, clean, hospitable place with a great range... It's not cheap, but we try it because our hotel's restaurant was closed so we decided to give it a try. We pay 15 soles each for a combo (ceviche + Inka kola + a fried dish). As soon as we enter we notice the dirty cookware, dirty walls, poorly maintained stablishment, flies, the restrooms were dirty, the soap was... More

We had combo menu. it's ceviche with an other dish, fried fish for us. It was good and fast. They are plenty of restaurant who does the same menu, choose the best view and i think that the food will be quite the same.

Food is gross. Hot food came out cold. Grimy seats and tableware settings. Service bad. After the first lukewarm, chewy, greasy shrimp and rice we cancelled the rest of our order, paid and left.

The food was decent but the service was really terrible. About 5 minutes after we sat down, a large group (20ish people) came in, and we were completely ignored. They served the large group before taking care of any of the rest of us. Peruvian restaurants aren't known for good service, but this was not worth it. Visit one of... More

We had quite a few set menu lunch deals in Huanchaco and this was the best we had. S10 for a decent portion of ceviche and then a really tasty arroz de mariscos for main and a small coca cola. They also do chicken for a main (so not all seafood).

With so many options for cheaper meals it is hard to choose. However, unfortunately by going here we chose wrong. Cerbiche was actually quite tastey (hence 2 stars) - mains were tiny and COLD (one main wasn't even eaten) - drinks never came and was just an all-round terrible dining experience.
