We stopped for lunch on our way to St Louis. This local had unique atmosphere and a sense of history. It was the oldest continuously run tavern west of the Mississippi. The booths were so cool, the service was great and so was the food. The brats (you have a choice of 4 different kinds) were amazing, the German potato... More

Stopped in for lunch. Somewhat busy, but we still should have ordered drinks before sitting there 15 minutes. Finally was able to order our food after ANOTHER 15 minutes. It took a total of 50 min. to get our food from the time we sat down. Chicken dinner was supposed to be all white meat, mashed taters & gravy, green... More

My husband had the brat burger, I had the cheese burger. Both were great. They have a great selection of beer. The Waitresses are very friendly and do a great job. We will be back.

The Concert Hall and Barrel were among recommendations made by a local carpenter when we asked where we might go for lunch. We stopped in and were transported back in time. The building dates back to 1878 and boasts that it is the oldest continually operating tavern west of the Mississippi. It made me wonder how many people had passed... More

We dropped in for supper and a few cocktails. I must say the service was great and the food was delicious. This is a nice place for supper and a great place to visit with friends while dining.

While we were in Hermann, we ate at the Concert Hall and Barrel twice. The local Brats were excellent, and the place has a great old time feel. The wait staff did a super job of taking care of the customers. If you are in Hermann, check it out.

The service was excellent, even on a busy Friday evening. The food was very good standard American tavern fare. The setting oozes with historical charm. Overall a very good experience.

We had a group of 9 that went there for lunch. Service was good and she was friendly. I had the 12" bratwurst with homemade chips. Sandwich was good a little bit of the bun was dried out. Wife had pizza. She said it was ok but wished it had a crispier crust. Son had Hot Wings that weren't very... More

Food was decent, and prices were great. They also offer local brews from Tin Mill which was a plus; however, any indoor seating is on the other side of a wall from the smoking section. (gross!) We opted to eat outside and fortunately didn't have to deal with much smoke. I thought MO had a law against smoking in restaurants?

Great food, great atmosphere but service so so. It was super busy weekend so we understand the extended wait for a to go order but service staff were pretty unfriendly and really didn't seem to want to bother sending us to bar staff and back to servers. I would try again just because the food was that good when we... More

Thanks for your review. We are so sorry that you experienced the slow service. Yes, October is our busiest month of the year, but that is not an excuse. We are very happy you enjoyed the food, and we do hope you visit again. Thanks again, Concert Hall and Barrel More

Description
Built in 1878, the Concert Hall and Barrel is the oldest continually operating tavern west of the Mississippi. Today we proudly continue a time-honored tradition of good food and good times in Hermann, Missouri. Wednesday through Sunday, we serve lunch and dinner, featuring German specialties year-round. Our menu includes a wide selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, steaks, pizzas and seafood. Our sports bar is a place where customers can eat, drink and socialize while watching the latest televised sports events on our numerous television screens. We have four big TV screens, and when the patio is open we add another! We serve a wide selection of local wines, craft beers, spirits and signature drinks. As in days of old, the spacious second-floor Concert Hall can accommodate a large group for rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, birthday parties, business meetings, and fundraisers. A private banquet room on the first floor may be reserved for smaller occasions. Located in historic downtown Hermann, Missouri, it's just a short walk from the Amtrak station, making it a great first or last stop in town.
