Ate there today. Food bland, zero seasoning.cornbread and biscuits fell apart. Fried chicken was greasy. Dessert was good. Blackberry cobbler with ice cream

Quaint, comfortable and friendly atmosphere only enhances the delicious country food choices at this buffet. Erica was delightful, instructing and guiding us through the culinary delights at this spot. I think my husband ate an entire chicken until he was done! The chicken was crisp, moist and not a bit greased. The seasoning was perfect. Not too overpowering, and enhanced... More

My husband and I stopped here while driving the Natchez Trace. I had read all the great reviews on this place and just wondered about the fried chicken (from Alabama and my mom made some of the best fried chicken). So I come to this review with a lot of experience in that area (66 yrs. old). But I must... More

If he's singing about the cornbread, it has to be a great place to stop & eat. Fried chicken on Sunday in Mississippi, how southern can it get? Great buffet restaurant near the Trace in an old building - very nice.

My wife and I detoured off the Natchez Trace Parkway on our bicycles to check out the hype over the Old Country Store we'd been hearing since Nashville. It's about the "package" - the unlikely standalone building on a highway, the wall to wall brick a brac and business cards plastered all over the walls, Mr. D serenading all comers,... More

The best fried chicken you will ever eat! Arthur owns he place and he makes everyone feel at home. He walks around and talks to his guests and sings. Be hungry when you go. Great vegetables o!

We've heard for years about the fried chicken at the Old Country Store in Lorman. We recently got together with some other motorcycle enthusiasts and made the trip down. We were warmly greeted and told to grab a plate and help ourselves to the buffet. As many have already said, the fried chicken is to die for!! I'm not sure... More

The good ol southern food here is just like mama used to make, but if you wanna eat your fill you had better fill your plate up on the 1st pass!! Service is good but they're slow with the food coming out! Also you should expect to dodge your fellow diners whom apparently eat fried food for every meal every... More

If you're looking for a fancy place this isn't it. You might be taken aback be the simplicity and age of the place when you walk. Just keep walking. The buffet line is not going to improve your first impression. Get over it and grab a plate. Look around and check out the friendly faces of the staff. Now take... More

Description
Please add this restaurant. I found it when we stayed in Port Gibson, MS. it is about 8 miles out of town. It is on yelp. You can see it here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/old-country-store-lorman-2, it is also on roadfood.com. It is very inexpenisive and the food is very good. Moreover, the owner is a character. He sings to you. The waitresses treat you like relatives. It is truly a wonderful experience.
