The chicken was dry and the outside was almost burned on the edges, it WAS burned. The sides in the steam table were mostly white gelatinous substances. No idea what they were - I moved one thing with a spoon... ewwww. The cabbage was floating...More

If you're looking for a quick buffet with hospitality then you're in the right spot. The food wasn't exactly what we call "soul" food but it's close. We particularly liked the waitress who made the trip worth it. The food was basically stuff you could...More

Good "Southern " cooking...the fried okra using cornmeal, the way it's supposed to be done! And one of the best biscuits I've had in ages. Lunch only & not open Saturday so plan accordingly. Had live music today (sax player) outside (perfect day for dining...More

Dianne is a wonderful hostess and makes you feel like a guest in her home. The food is delicious with some of the best fried chicken in the South. It is a buffet with delicious vegetables. Small salad bar is just adequate

This restaurant was recommended to us by the tour guide at the state capitol. It was worth the walk there and the experience. The restaurant itself is in a rather run down older home but the food made up for the atmosphere. You get a...More

11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The buffet varies but always has corn bread and rolls. Skip the cornbread and go straight for the rolls. They melt in your mouth! Usually they have fried chicken, yams, grits and collard greens.
