We spent a week in Gulfport and this is the only restaurant we ate at twice. Both days we went for a late lunch and had Brenda as our server. We ate the blackened red fish, the Cajun pasta, and the specials on our two...More

If you are eating with a group and are fortunate enough to get them to issue individual checks, beware of their socialized tipping system! Your check will show 20% tip but the actual amount added is total tip split equally among each person. I got...More

Their baked seafood eggplant was the best appetizer I've ever had hands down. The oyster bisque was delightful and the blackened stuffed filet was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The key lime pie was a perfectly light and refreshing end to dinner!

I've always enjoyed a delicious meal at The Chimneys – but what I love most is the view, the awesome frontward, the majestic oaks, and that awesome Gulf breeze. I've enjoyed brunch, lunch and dinner here, and hope to get back down south soon to...More

Parking is confusing, vertually no greeting, seating arrangements are crammed.. The food, service is average ...nothing stands out. The view from up stairs is good. A sense of debt.....you owe them a visit since they are their, they have built, you have to come.

We were here to celebrate a birthday, but dinner here would be special on any night. The room is big and airy but had a romantic glow, and we caught the tail end of the water view before it got dark. Dinner was fantastic. The...More

Reservation are always good to have, but I have never needed them. I do not know about Thanksgiving, I've never been here during a Holiday so I do not know about that. Your best bet is to call then and ask about a Holiday... More

Casual, but nice. I wouldn't come straight from the beach, but a sun dress or dressy shorts or skirt would be fine.
Driving thru from Texas to Florida. Will spend the nite in Gulfport. Trying to decide dinner between The Chimneys and Blow Fly. And, can we dine in dress shorts (not cutoffs)?

Blow fly - sure you can wear shorts, not at Chimneys though. Much more upscale.
