From the road the place doesn't look big enough to be a BBQ, oooooh, but it is! In the side door, greeted by a lively lady behibd the counter, and a grill master at the flat top! Menu board is old school, but very adequate,...More

Abe's is the real thing and that makes it good and the service was warm and welcoming. I ordered a hot dog but it was a sliced frankfurter in a hamburger bun, which was disappointing. It was a popular place with local people and I...More
The tamales weren't all that exciting but my BBQ beef sandwich was very good. Service was weird. Brought one dinner and then 10 minutes later the other. Did not refill drinks when the 2nd meal was brought either. Did not get to try any sides...More

We had to stop here, since we were in the area and they've been around forever. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was fine. Not great. I guess I'm spoiled because my wife makes outstanding pulled pork. My wife had a Tamale which was...More
We went here expecting outstanding and got average. The food wasn't bad just not anything exceptional. The decor was great-old pictures and blues related items on the walls- exactly what you'd expect at a bbq joint at the crossroads. Stop in if you happen to...More
Rode over to Clarksdale today to eat at Abe's. Best tamales hands down anywhere. Had ribs and BBQ sandwich. Ribs were really good. BBQ sandwich was good. Way to much vinegar in coleslaw. Next time will just do tamales with chili and cheese.
The chilli is amazing. Typical diner fare with great BBQ & tamales. The sweet iced tea tastedlike my mama's tea. We'd eat there again.
