We turned up without a booking on Mothers Day and the people at Castaways could not have been friendlier. Food was excellent, service smooth and very kind attention to the children in our party. Thank you.

Enjoyed eating here twice during a weeks holiday at "Kingsmoor" Mylor. Great service, fantastic food and lovely atmosphere.

We all were very pleased with our menu choices. Mine was sausage and mash which was delicious, but this didn't stop me eyeing up my neighbours fish and chips which looked equally good (she said it was). Generous portions, but not the over large sort that are off putting. Ideal place for lunch after the walk from Flushing. Nice fire... More

This is the older restaurant formerly known as the "Gangees". Extensive main menu on offer. However we decided to stick with the Sunday specials and we were not disapointed. Fresh mackerel was a delight. As was the Goats cheese. The roast beef was excellent as was the Lamb shank. Accompanied by an ample supply of tasty, fresh vegetables. The homemade... More

We walked round from Flushing. As it is winter we lunched at Castaways East adjacent to the main restaurant (closed out of season). Lovely feel - log fire and wooden floor ideal for dogs, walkers and boat/yacht types. A really large menu and comprehensive specials board, but for Sunday lunch we went traditional with roast beef and all the trimmings... More

Really enjoyed our breakfast at Castaways this morning, Great setting, good value for money and most importantly the food was lovely, piping hot and very tasty. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, nothing was too much trouble. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Many thanks..

We had a good lunch in the smaller Castaways East which tends to open over the winter months. It was very busy and fortunately we had pre booked as they were having to turn people away. We had a great and enjoyable tasty lunch. The atmosphere was nice and having the place warmed by the wood burner made it fell... More

The fish is plentiful and superbly cooked. The old pub is very warm and cosy now it is getting colder. It was so good and the menu looked extensive enough to go back the following night. It was. Tremendous lamb shank. Need to book though, even at this time if the year and mid week.

Having launched our boat we celebrated with the boat build team at Castaways who knowing we were on a short time span had our meals ready and waiting. Many of the thirteen attendees had different dishes and all commented on the quality and flavour of their meals. The Castaways team helped make our occasion very special.

We stayed locally and ate here regularly. Food was served quickly and efficiently by friendly experienced staff. Good variety of food and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
