I discovered Black Sea about two years ago, and it's one of my favorites on this side of town. The place itself is small - don't bring a party of 10 here and expect them to be able to seat you - but the food is excellent, the service is quick and the prices are really reasonable. I'm a big... My first time to this place, and we really enjoyed it. Small inside with maybe 8 tables, but the food was good, service was quick and efficient (even though we were there over a busy lunch hour), portions were good sized. I had the kofte sandwich with fries. Loved the kofte, loved the fries. I thought the pita bread itself... More

Eating here is about the experience as much as the food, although you will still be pleased getting take-out. Only a few places to sit, but if you do dine in it can be SUCH a great time. The staff treats you with such warmth and the music is awesome. Having eaten a lot of Turkish food around the world,... More

I looked at the reviews for the Black Sea before going, and it had amazing reviews, so I was excited! Needless to say, I don't feel like it lived up to its hype....don't get me wrong, the food is good, decent enough. But it wasn't THAT great. My falafel sandwich was a bit dry and not a lot of flavor.... More

A delightful neighborhood Turkish restaurant. The food - delicious with generous portions and reasonable prices. A small restaurant, the interior is clean and the decor is charmingly cozy without being claustrophobic. The service - very good and friendly. My friend and I had a pleasant time enjoying our dinner before going to a meeting. If you like good Mediterranean food... More

Stopped in for a bite to eat with friends. VERY small dinning area. We were a group of 10 seating for us was difficult. Food was average but tasty, staff was great and accommodating.

This place is always packed. It's one of the few places you can get food in the immediate area, so it has a loyal following. Personally, not my favorite, but it is very clean and the people friendly. The gyros are decent and the fries are above average. It's not very expensive, so that is a plus. Some friends LOVE... More

If you like Middle Eastern food and a plate full of tasty meat, salad and maybe fries for under $10-- check out Black Sea. Falafel, gyros, dolmas -- all succulent and delicious. The place is tiny, service is fast, food is delicious-- did I say that? On street parking is free too. They do take out too.

I enjoyed the food at Black Sea. Refreshingly light and clean with good flavors. The dolma were delicious. The gyro meat was good, but the kafta was a bit dry. The place was very warm, but that added to the atmosphere. I made you feel that you were in a cafe in Turkey, not in St Paul. People were sitting... More

Very small, only eight tables, but the food was fantastic. Plenty of food on the plates, appetizers were delicious. The prices were very reasonable. Stopped in because we got tired of looking for somewhere to eat. Very glad we did. Will definitely make this a stop whenever in St. Paul.
