This is NOT a restaurant. It is a hybrid between a home kitchen and a camping site. It has the atmosphere of an old town bar and it could use a lo t of cleaning. Pros: tasty on the flame cooking. Cons: everything floats in oil. My hash browns were so oily that every bite was kind of dripping...

This place is filthy, uncomfortable, slow and expensive for a greasy spoon. How the Ramsey county health inspector gives this place a pass is beyond me. I brought my 14 year old son there for an adventure, and right away I could see he was not excited. I asked him to keep an open mind for the food and he... More

Delivers exactly what you expect and it's everything you hope it will be. The food and the atmosphere are as authentic as it gets.

Went there on a recommendation of my daughters boyfriend. Had to see what it was about as he is more of a gourmand. Good portions and value .. word is though to avoid the bar crowd. Unless you are part of the bar crowd and are looking for a place to eat. Breakfast served 24/7

I've heard the legend of the "flame" and three of us Flame Burger "virgins" decided to try it out! It was an experience ....not the cleanest place and when my burger came out with cheese they just scrapped it off and put it back on the grill. Service was friendly not sure I'll stop back but absolutely worth saying I've... More

I went to the Flameburger in St. Paul with my boyfriend and his roommate because they had been there before and wanted me to try it. They had breakfast and I had a mushroom swiss burger. Not only was the service from our waitress acceptable (she didn't interrupt us every 5 minutes, but only came when we were getting low... More

I've lived a good hunk of my life in the area near Flameburger- how could I have gone this long without trying it?? Husband introduced this place to me today, some 20 years since his last visit. Knowing what I like to eat, he took the liberty of ordering my breakfast for me. Let me say - YUM! The giant... More

Whether you are capping off a night of bar hopping with a grease bomb or grabbing some classic diner style breakfast the flame has got you covered. I believe that everyone should experience the Flame at some point. Just remember that if you go around bar close to be ready for an adventure because you may be in for dinner... More
