Recent working dinner business meeting with colleagues and could not of been more pleased. The menu offers a wide variety to choose from especially for those with discriminating taste buds. Service was top drawer with very pleasing politeness and respect. The yes sir no ma'am went far. Management was gracious often checking in and overseeing the timing for drinks and... More

In my younger years we used to go to the Onion quite often, The atmosphere was much more relaxed than the clubs in downtown Minneapolis. Recently we were thee for my Bachelor party. My fiance was not allowed to enter the the building due to the fact that he had a hand tattoo. ( he had been there numerous times... More

Stopped on the way to a party to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Menu is trying a little to hard to be edgy or interesting and a lot of their version of things are a bit odd. Very dull beer selection and slow service. A lot better options within a block or two...

Been to the Wild Onion several times, in fact this is not even my first review. I like the atmosphere for visiting with friends, I like the food and the beverages. In general, there is just not much to dislike at this place. Was the food exceptional, no...the bun on my burger was a bit dried out and fries were... More

Second time there, two years apart and really disappointed. The food was totally lacking in flavor and the chef (cook) showed no passion for what was coming out of the kitchen. Messy plates with thrown together food. The server was good, but some manager who looked like a 70's era used car dealer kept staring at us the entire time... More

I've been here several times, not by my choice, and every time I've been there the place smells like stale beer and disinfectant. Not very pleasant. The food is average at best and the drinks are the same. Service is okay. Not my favorite place by a long shot when there are much better options on Grand Avenue.

My wife and I visited the Wild Onion in the early afternoon for lunch. I had the Chipotle Turkey Melt and my wife had the Caesar Salad. The Turkey Melt had a decent taste but was too heavy with cheese. I was not able to pick up the sandwich. It fell apart on my first attempt (the bread was over... More

It wasn't busy when we were there but I can imagine that it could get pretty noisy because the tables are pfretty tight. The food was really good. I had the Tavern Steak sandwich .....very tasty

Dinner visit on a recommendation from local co-workers. Man, were they on the money. The food was very good, particularly the burger. Best one had (that wasn't homemade) in a loonngg time. The service was exceptional, the beer cold, and the price very fair. A re-visit is definitely planned.
