Almost like being in Mexico. The food is great and the Mariachi group is very enjoyable. Often the patrons, who are Hispanic join in in singing making it a real experience.

Stopped by to take a friend for late breakfast. What a great little restaurant and Spanish Food Buffet they have inside the Market. The food is very good. I had pork verse and my friend had breakfast sopes. The food was very fresh and delicious, the buffet food was amazing. The fresh sopes were my favorite and I tried them... More

Probably the best mercado and cafeteria/restaurant combination in the Twin Cities. The food is delicious and, for a cafeteria operation, surprisingly varied. Most items come with a choice of 8-9 fillings, including various pork, beef, chicken, shrimp or veggie offerings running the gamut from Minnesota mild to Mexicali mouth-charring. The cafeteria side (no bar) and restaurant side (alcohol served) offer... More

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. Not far from the capital and downtown. Had a burrito with the mesquite pork, highly recommend it.

A friend and I met up for drinks/dinner here on a snowy night after work. Upon entering, you walk through the grocery store and then spot a deli with a seating area. I thought that was the restaurant/bar but then I heard some music so I walked down a few stairs into an adorable oasis of Mexican loveliness. My friends,... More

Absolute must for visitors to the Saintly City. The Mercado is just across the Robert Street Bridge, a couple of blocks east on Cesar Chavez -- like a day trip to Mexico. Fantastic and authentic cuisine, and a great place to find unique gifts. The produce, and bakery products are always fresh -- as is the butcher's display. Casual dining... More

The authentic market and grocery store is has a couple dinning options, a fast casual self service option and just behind it a slim 20 table restaurant with waitresses and a full bar. I enjoyed a large beer and the Chicken Enchiladas in green sauce. They were fantastic, and too much food for one meal so I had a little... More

We got an uber from downtown St Paul it was worth the ride. Amazingly good food, freshly made, lovely staff and very very reasonably priced too. The best burrito I've had in years. I even got one to go fit my trip home tomorrow. The gift shop also very good lots of little bits and bobs to pick up. One... More
