My favorite is the #12 for breakfast. Chicken fried steak, two eggs, hass browns and toast. They also have wonderful omelettes.

Don't let its appearance discourage you from stopping in. They have a great breakfast and it is very popular with the locals including myself. I have been going there for breakfast for many years. Love the place!

We go here ALL the time!! Food is always good, great prices, huge selection, friendly staff... You must try the French Toast!! Omelets are great, yummy burgers and sandwiches... The only thing that might be a negative for some, the building is not the prettiest, inside and out ... But I guess I'm used to it and it doesn't bother... More

It's off season here, so there aren't many places to go for breakfast. I took a friend with me and was disappointed in our veggie omelettes. Canned mushrooms and the "with Swiss cheese" meant a slice laid on top of the omelette. It's a busy, place and you do get a lot of food for your money. I guess it... More

The Swedish Meatball dinner was on special for the day we were there for lunch. It was delicious. We got a big portion of mashed potatoes, corn and two big meatballs!

We have vacationed in Park Rapids for over 20 years and breakfast is always at the Great Northern. The service is good and the breakfast choices are many, a large portion is served which is a good value. The omelettes could be shared, French toast is the best. The atmosphere is very basic but it's worth a stop.

This little restaurant is PACKED for breakfast and there is a reason for that! The food is abundant, tasty, and reasonably priced! Try their French Toast.... It is great! The I letters are huge and the hash browns are yummy! Worth the trip in the morning, but you might have a bit of a wait on the weekends, and they... More

Typical small town cafe. Was very busy on a Saturday morning. Staff was really nice and food came out fast. No complaints and will go back when we are back in Park Rapids!

We finally tried this cafe after reading numerous good reviews about it. They were all correct! This is like a cafe of old with prices to match. The food was down home cooking and prices were really inexpensive. The place was full so we asked two at a table for four if we could join them and that worked out.... More

If you like home cooked meals and friendly service this restaurant is a must stop! No credit cards so bring cash but huge portions at a small price.
