Pros: Great parking space and clean restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. Pho was pretty good. I would've liked it to be slightly more beefy in flavor, but that is a very small, personal preference. I would compare this pho to Pho ca Dao in St. Paul, with Pho Tau Bay slightly leading in taste. We also had the grilled... More

Pho Tau Bay has held down its spot at the end of Nicollet's eat street for a good many years. It's about what you'd expect from a hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant. It has an extensive menu, which comprises mostly of variations on the same basic ingredients (broth, bread or noodles with the protein of your choice) as well as a more... More

First time having Pho and I'm hooked! I was at dinner with others who are more fluent in Vietnamese cuisine and they agreed: best they've had. I was a little leery when we drove up and there was a laundromat next door and the restaurant liked like it's definitely seen it's better days. .. but I was glad I didn't... More

We have been going there for about 8 years. They continue to make improvements but they don't need to change the menu! I always get the #9, beef pho. Sometimes I add tofu. If you have a cold, this is the place to go to get better. The #A10, pork spring rolls ... The best ever. Their egg rolls are... More

We had spring rolls with peanut sauce but I prefer the sauce to have a glob of chili sauce in it and more mint or cilantro in the roll. The Bun was good with a spicier fish sauce than one often gets and a lot of fresh mint. This is a good standard place for Vietnamese food at a reasonable... More

We went with a person who frequents this restaurant so she helped us as to what to order. The menu is quite extensive. She ordered a sample of appetizers: shrimp skewers, egg rolls, spring rolls, and shrimp with cane sugar stick. Each one was absolutely delicious and if we had to pick a favorite it would be the egg rolls.... More

Most places only offer the shrimp spring rolls (and they're good and all), but inferior compared to the grilled pork spring rolls only offered at Pho Tau Bay; that I know of. They offer a vast variety of dishes ranging from soups, bun salads, banh mi sandwiches, to the broken rice dishes, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee.. so delicious. I've been... More

It's my go-to for Vietnamese food in Minneapolis. The bún with grilled pork and egg rolls (#42) is my usual in the Summer. I love their Pho tài in the Winter. My friends always order the báhn mì(G3) as an appetizer. Always Vietnamese folks eating in the restaurant which I think is a good sign. No-nonsense servers who deliver fast... More

This little restaurant is hidden away. It is at a dead end on Nicollet. Service is like any other Vietnamese restaurant, quick to take an order, quick on service, and quick on refills. I went here with my wife and a couple of friends. We were craving Pho and I wasn't in the mood to make it. Too long. The... More

We live two hours from Minneapolis but it seems we eat at PTB quite often when we get to the Cities. The food is good and it's obvious that Vietnamese eat there as well as many others. Besides the large menu, the good food and affordability the appearance just fits what middle class restaurants look like in much of Southeast... More
