This was my first time trying dim sum served in the traditional fashion (in metal carts). I've had dim sum with the paper method and to be honest, for first timers, the paper method is wayyyyy more efficient. What made it hard was how fast the servers were speaking and they have zero tolerance or time to explain to you... More

I've eaten dim sum at numerous places in Chinatown in NYC, and find that the Mandarin Kitchen offers better food, and wonderful experience. We tend to avoid the fried foods, and stick with things like steamed dumplings, shrimp, ribs, and veggies. All of that is really quite good at that place. Do be warned that the dishes and price can... More

Minneapolis St Paul doesn't have good Chinese cuisine. Man. Kitchen is the best of a weak lot. The food is decent for a Midwest area. But can't compare to New York or Toronto or West Coast (not sure about Chicago). The dim sum is very ordinary. MSP does have quality Vietnamese and Korean food. The Chinese scene is run of the... Food was hot and very tasty. Rice was perfect. Gen Tso chicken very nicely done. I will be back and you should come here too.

We were glad that we had our family dinner at this place on a weekday. It's slow, so we didn't have to wait for a table or food. We had the Family Dinner for 6 and that was plenty for 7 people. The dinner came with a whole fish, lobster, beef chow fun, squid stir fried with preserved veggies... And... More

First time here, so two of us ordered 4 dishes to share and test. Best duck we have had in MN! Dumplings are an appetizer but very filling! Beef hotpot with Daikon would be a great Fall dish - hearty and fall off the bone. Buddhas Delight veggies were cooked perfect, the sauce was not as interesting as we would... More

Always great fresh variety, even the lunch combos are great! The menu is one of the most extensive in the twin cities.

The flavors are fantastic and the service excellent. (Ken is a great waiter) The steamed black bean ribs, salt and pepper squid, pepper steak, pea tips and bitter melon soup were world class. I can't wait to return. Thank you Debby!

I have to say I'm surprised. This place IS better than some of the dim sum I've eaten in SF and NYC. They have excellent dumplings and you can't go wrong with the har gow or the siu mai. I don't think I've had anything bad here. Definitely GO if you're in the area.

While not at the level of Dim Sum in Hong Kong, SF, NYC or Toronto, it is very good and truly the best we have found of all the Dim Sum places in Minnesota. The quality, selection and freshness is very good. However, it seems many know this by the crowds and unless you arrive on weekend when they open,... More
