I stopped for breakfast this morning and a sign posted on the door said the restaurant is closed pending changes by new ownership. I hope they don't mess too much with what was a winning formula.

This is the place for the classic American Breakfast- excellent hash browns, eggs were not the scrambled I ordered but perfect over easy - the fried cod (a nice alternative menu choice for breakfast meat) was perfectly done: too bad they had an employee not...More
I've looked for a real Chicago style hot dog in Duluth since we came back from our Chicago vacation a few years back. By the menu the Chicago Dog seemed to be what I was looking for. Too bad what I got wasn't even close....More
I am a sucker for good Coney. Not the chilli dog style but good Greek Cumin sauce kind. My hometown has several awesome coney places, eating out of town coney is risky. The Coney Island in Duluth nailed the art of coney. Quality dogs, substantial...More
Had breakfast twice here. First time the bacon was terrible, but otherwise a good breakfast and excellent coffee. The decor is worth a visit alone: lost of nostalgic and interesting collectibles cover the walls. The owner, who I met on the second visit, is a...More
we were looking for a fast breakfast place on the way to Glensheen.. the shuttle driver the night before recomended here. We had a standard breaffast of eggs ham & hashbrowns and a granada omelett with coffee & coco..all for under $18 ( Before tip)...More
Average interior. Paid parking in garage next door. There are other places to eat in Duluth that are nicer. The only reason to eat here would be if you walked by. Not worth going out of the way for in my opinion.
We stopped by Coney Island and really enjoyed their food. Their original Coney dog was great, plus they have really good onion rings. We'll be back again!
Skip the hotel breakfast and walk a few blocks to Coney Island. Interesting atmosphere- fair prices - efficient service.
I love this place. I grew up in Duluth and came here as a kid with my grandparents. It always feels like stepping back into history. I love the food, the atmosphere and the prices! A definite must for anyone visiting.
