Really wasn't that good. Service was good and lots of sh#t on the walls. This place is shenanigan's... My wife got a burger that tasted like a meatloaf. Meh. I got the tenderloin kabob which I asked to be cooked medium rare. The outside looked good but some of the pieces were quite rare, just barely warm. Not very tender... More

My husband and I were in Duluth to celebrate my birthday. We were within walking distance of Grandma's and decided to stop for a bite and a drink. We were very impressed with the burgers. The prices were great as well as the atmosphere. The bartender was very quick and attentive. I will go back again next time I am... More

Grandma's Saloon has a menu that has lots of variety, so it's a good choice for families that have individuals with differing taste preferences. The portion sizes are fairly large. We left very full. The location near the water is great as well.

Been coming to Grandmas for years; this latest trip with my youngest son on Spring break. Fun decor; tasty food at good prices. Host sat us quickly; table service was indifferent.

Wife used to come when student at UMD -- place has changed (upstairs) from her memory, but was a good experience anyway -- good parking on a busy weekend (robotics competition) and quick and responsive service. Food was quite good as well.

What makes Grandma's so special are the numerous old items like oil company tin signs, license plates that span the auto era from about 1915 on to the present, old furniture pieces, statues and the like. At one point of time they had an aircraft hanging from the ceiling. The food is the greatest experience. It is authentic Italian &... More

I had really enjoyed the turkey sandwich on cranberry and wild rice bread I had gotten. The restaurant had reasonable food and prices. Our service was spotty as our servers had switched in the middle of our visit. Not sure how seating arrangements are designed, but we had to go back and forth to the front reception 3 times because... More

Go here for the Cheese steak French . Always great , service is always good ! Desserts are good too, but lunch is so big that unless you share entrees the dessert can put you over the edge of comfort . But they are so good.

Description
Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively adventure to the past where value and customer service are at the center of everything we do. You’re surrounded by authentic antiques, collectibles, and an eager staff ready and willing to please. The award winning food includes overstuffed sandwiches and burgers; USDA choice steaks; house specialty pasta and wild rice dishes; appetizers include nationally recognized homemade onion rings, chicken wings, and stuffed mushrooms. It’s an eyeful as well as a mouthful. The legacy of customer satisfaction has been handed down by the Italian immigrant who started it all, “Grandma” Rosa Brochi. Everything she did in her early boarding house business included “100% customer satisfaction,” words that we still live by today. Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is real history, real antiques, real service, and really good food! A dining experience of legendary indulgence. The original Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is located at the foot of the historic Aerial Lift Bridge, at the tip of Lake Superior. Seasonal deck dining and the new rooftop lounge includes this spectacular view.
