Had the Reuben after finding out they did not have herring. I was really looking forward to herring but if they aren't catching them in the lake they don't serve it. I like that. They tried to substitute tilapia. Tilapia is not a substitute for...More

They really do have world class pulled pork here. I would highly recommend you make this your dinner stop when anywhere near here.

We stopped for an early dinner on the recommendation of someone at one of the state parks. Our sandwiches were delicious (the name had garlic in it, but I don't remember the exact name), prices were very reasonable, and the service was great. After hearing...More

If you think this going the Marriot of the north take your expectations down a few notches and you will be fine. We had #4 so I speak from that point of view. Clean room. Adequate sized TV. More than enough TV channels to watch...More

Stop for lunch here while on leaf tour. Had some of best walleye I have had just lightly breaded and very tasty. Spouse loved her fish taco's. Neat atmosphere and great service even though they were slammed. Good local beers to go with food.

This is a fairly large restaurant in an area without a lot of choices. Service and food were excellent, though I thought the prices were a little on the high side. I would definitely visit again.

Had lunch here, attracted by the "award winning BBQ" sign. It's a cozy place. Limited menu. Smoked pulled pork was a bit more finely shredded than I prefer but flavor was spot on. Served on a good bun with slaw on on the side with...More

Maybe because I was dining solo, I don't know, but I was put in the darkest section by the bar with only one light illuminating the entire side of the restaurant. The food was typical bar fare, but beware of the upcharges. Extra money for...More

I was taking the scenic drive along Lake Superior and just stopped here on a whim and I'm happy that I did. It is kind of a combination camp, restaurant, and bar. The interior is very log cabin like, but comfortable and clean. I the...More
