2 bad meals...dry hamburger and the corned beef sandwich was the worst I have ever had, the type of meat that is usually with cabbage, not between buns and even at that, it was dry and tasteless.

We made reservations for 4:30 p.m. on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Our waiters name was Calvin and he was great.... for the first 5 minutes. The more crowded the place became, the more Calvin developed an attitude. He made us feel rushed...and never smiled. He spoke very fast and when we asked him to repeat himself, he seemed annoyed, huffing and loudly repeating. He never asked how our meal was and when he gave us our check, I told him the clam chowder was outstanding but my salad was horrible, showing him the old, yellow, wilted lettuce and soggy croutons on my $10 Ceasars salad. My husband said his dinner was good, but the Whitefish contained a lot of bones. (My brother said nothing to the server but told me his chicken sandwich was dry). Calvin just looked at us, saying nothing. Nothing. No apology. Nothing! I was so disappointed and upset, I went to the car and left my husband and brother to pay the bill, which came to $113 ! I will never return to the Lions Den!More
Called ahead to make reservations since we had 8 in our party and was told they were not taking reservations, however nearly every couple that walked in had reservations. The wait was fair considering our party size. Once seated they bring you bowls of popcorn,...which seems nice, except when you have little ones that cant eat it and want to. The food was just ok at best, the breading on the fish lacked any flavor. We ordered pizza for the kids and it was super greasy. The bread sticks were actually pretty good. Service was lacking, but like every other place they appeared to be understaffed, except for the 3 teenagers running the front entrance. They were just sitting around and gooding off. Maybe they were training, I'm not sure.More
I ordered a Nacho Supreme for my wife and a Large Pepperoni Pizza for myself to go. I did ask for light sauce on the pizza But I am really upset by the lack of the amount of cheese on this particular pizza. I ate...3/4 of the large with the small amount of cheese because I was kind of hungry by time I got home. We live in metro Detroit with an abundance of pizza shops to choose from. Little Caesars, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Cottage Inn, etc. and I opted for your restaurant. Again, where's the cheese.More
Dined here Sunday, Aug. 15th 2021. Waited 15 or so minutes. No reservations. Busy, but not completely full. Several dining rooms, nice bar. Very friendly wait staff. Kim, our waitress was as pleasant and efficient one could be. I shared a mussels appetizer with our...friend and we were amazed at the portion which Kim nicely divided for us. My wife enjoyed the onion soup. Salads were very tasty. My coleslaw, not creamy was simply delicious and a nice serving too. Two of us ordered 8oz prime ribs. Very good with au jus. Another ordered two pork chops and wife's lasagna was very good. Ample portions! Dinner included bread sticks and soft butter. Yum. Lots of choices on their menu!! As to returning, it's on our list and soon. They serve lunch as well. Nice atmosphere with some tv's near the bar and sports memorabilia is all around. Nicely decorated. No outdoor seating noticed. If you're looking for a fine place to eat, this is it! Give it a try.More
The Lion's Den is a fun sports setting. It is filled with vintage photos of NFL football stars and venues. The food was above average, They offered good portion sizes at a reasonable value. Service was attentive. This is not fine dining but a fun...setting for sports fans.More
Ordered Corned Beef & Cabbage dinners tonight (carry out) since the other place we'd planned on getting them from had sold out. Tried a couple other restaurants we know, but they didn't even answer their phones. Then took a chance on Lion's Den. Have never...eaten here before, though we've driven by a million times. WOW! In all the decades of eating the traditional Irish fare on St. Patty's Day from various places, we have NEVER had an Irish meal so good! Even the soups were very good too. I was impressed that they weren't salty, just seasoned perfectly, unlike so many restaurant soups! We have never seen such perfectly lean corned beef either. There were huge portions of the main meal, leaving us some leftovers for another day. That's a rarity as we're big eaters! The bread sticks were also very good (wish there had been more of them!). We'll definitely be back in the future to see what else you have. Maybe we've found our new fav restaurant in Waterford! Thank you!More
Mediocre and uninspiring. The baby back ribs were dry. The steak Dianne did not impress the wife. Service was slow.
A classic roadside Italian restaurant with a broad menu and very motivated staff. The food was fantastic for the price.
We have eaten at this restaurant before. We both had their version of a turkey Reuben. It was excellent. There was a homemade slaw of which there was plenty as well as lots of turkey and cheese. They brought the dressing on the side. Great...fries too. Great service too. If you haven’t eaten there I would recommend.More
Good place to eat. Usually pretty busy but worth waiting or you can call ahead. The owner is very nice.
Since the last time I was in there, they have completely remodeled. It is great! Just like Home. The food is fantastic as always. Great place to catch up with friends for the holidays.
This our go to restaurant when in the area. Always good service and consistently good food. Popcorn is free and is there within 30 sec of sitting down.
We showed up at 9:40 pm. They close at 10. They still seated us and took our order. They did not rush us out and the meal was great. Al way great service and good food.
W have dined here many times. Each time the food is good and the service is fast and courteous. Dining room or bar area makes no difference
