We had a semi-large group. All the other restaurants within walking distance of our hotel gave us an estimated wait time of at least an hour and a half. The Red Ox gave us forty five minutes. The service was prompt and the food was good. We also had children in our group.

Nobody came to the table to take our order after waiting 10 minutes. I could understand if the place had more then 4 people at the tables. I will say the bar was pretty busy. Unfortunate was looking forward to trying the place out.

We stay at the Hyatt next door and wailed over the the Red Ox Tavern. Big bar area with a lot of big screen TV's great to watch the hockey game. 30 plus beers on tap and the menu has a lot to offer.

Food was okay but seriously music is too loud.... Cranking the volume that high were you can't carry a conversation is pointless to be at a bar...

We had the opportunity to visit recently and found this place friendly and easy. The staff was good and the service friendly We had the salmon and a couple of drinks at the bar. Nothing to complain about just average and over cooked. We did not complain as it appears this was how they intended it. Unimaginative, pedestrian and forgettable.

In general, I have an aversion to sports bars, but the Red Ox Tavern was just across the road from our hotel and we were tired from a stressful day on the road. We were pleasantly surprised, at least by this particular restaurant located in Utica, Michigan. Like most sports bars there were televisions aplenty, but the sound was off... More

The food here is just OK. There is a huge selection of draft beers and TV's to watch various sports events, but my biggest complaint is the volume in the bar area. You can't even hear yourself think. Service as a whole was rather slow even though there were not many people in the bar.

Had a Rueben sandwich, waffle fries and their decked out chili with chese, onion and fresh jalapenos...it was a great meal with a couple of beers. I will definitely have to do this stop again.

We just stopped in for a quick snack in between events. It was quite loud w/all the tvs, but, it is a sports bar and the MSU & U of M game was on. We tried several different appetizers between the 5 of us and all were very good.

The food quality is good and they have good choice. The most important thing is that they take reservations for groups.
