First time eating here. I had the lobster bisque which was just okay and a very small portion. The fisherman s stew was good but also a very small portion. Service was good but the restaurant was just okay

Wonderful experience! Starting with cocktails, I tried a vesper. It is my new favorite cocktail after being a confirmed martini drinker. Dinner followed with the price fixe special Chateaubriand for two. We started with a wonderful racklette fondue, with a local Leelenau cheese. Delicious, my only suggestion would be to serve the sides room temperature instead of cold. We followed that... More

We go often and are never disappointed. The menu is very French and includes onion soup, mussels and steak frites. Salads are lightly dressed and the desserts are great. Happy Hour offers some great eats. Wine list is extensive. Staff is friendly and always attentive.

A real French chef who grew up in Martinique in the West Indies. Higher priced than most eateries downtown, but excellent food for the money. A beautiful bar area for happy hour.

We were in Northern Michigan for the fall color tour. Every restaurant had a 90 minute wait on Saturday night. We happened to walk by Bistro Fou Fou, and they had immediate seating available in the bar (normally, immediate seating when everyone else has a wait is a warning sign). We were pleasantly surprised, the food and service were amazing.... More

This is our second visit. Definitely need reservations. Seating is a bit tight. I wanted the bolognese again, as it was spectacular when I ate it at our first visit, but it wasn't available as a special this time. We had foie gras again (delicious), butternut squash soup (divine), french onion soup (average), duck confit (good but a bit dry),... More

We went last Friday night for a "girls weekend" dinner. We had a party of six. Our waiter was rude, had no personality and never came back to ask about our food. Two of us ordered the risotto & we both thought it was undercooked, but never had a chance to let the waiter know. Two people ordered the French... More

Great happy hour plates until 7 that include mussels, calamari, and alot more! Good sized portion for only $5. Oysters are available, though we didn't check on the price.

You won't go wrong at Fou Fou. They have one of the best happy hours in TVC. The service is excellent and the wine list is complete. The food is outstanding and classic French bistro fare. A++

Visiting on a Thursday night when seating was at about 50%. Nothing to tax wait staff or kitchen. Everything should have worked well and it did. Ordered escargot appetizer... I've never seen this served in a small potato half and made the mistake of eating both escargot and potato at first... that was a mistake as the potato taste and... More
