We don't get the chance to go out for a meal often, but were so pleased that we chose The Fiddlers Rest to do so. The food was excellent and the staff friendly. My friend and I chose the Thai curry which was delicious and the others in our party had the fish & chips. I would highly recommend to friends... More

This was a great find for us as vegetarians as a selection of dishes were offered. I had a chickpea veggie burger with wonderful chips followed by a delicious chocolate pudding. the food was very fresh and a good menu for all. Highly recommend eating here.

The Fiddlers Rest was a very welcomed find. The food was great, generous portions and all 3 meals were very tasty. its also very child friendly and very relaxing place. It hit the spot with us, especially with small children, and the food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was exactly as recommended. Battered fresh cod was as good a fish and chips as anyone had tasted. Pan fried salmon very good as were nacho starter which were good for 3 people. Inside its basic and the exterior doesn't promote that this somewhere serving as good food as it is. So don't be put off ! If this... More

Lovely food. We (5) had all different meals and were eaten with no complaints. Fish and chips is delicious and one of the best I've had in many pubs, even in UK. Beer is great and drinks are varied for all ex pats. Wife had cider which she likes and is hard to grasp in this area.

We stopped on the off chance of eating a table on Friday eve. We arrived before any other guests and were lucky to get a table before others arrived. The nachos were react to share. We were hungry and the sharing plate was substantial. We followed with a classic fish and chips and chilli con carne. Hey were well cooked... More

As we were staying nearby our hosts recommend The Fiddlers Rest for an evening meal. We were lucky enough to get the last table on a busy Saturday night and soon saw why it was so popular. The food was great, with a good choice and a pint of Guinness was a welcome surprise in rural France. Not the most... More

You won't find better hosts than Ronan and Jo, great ambiance thanks to those two. Excellent food (big portions too, ideal for me), a good mix of UK/Irish, French and sometimes Asian on the menu. Supplies the occasional yet necessary fix of Guinness, Kilkenny's and Magners for us expats. Popular with the local French too.
